【ワンちゃん連れに優しいワークスポット発見】 I came to Lake Center Hitachiya for a quiet early lunch and a spot to work remotely—something tricky to find while traveling with a dog. What I found was a rare gem: a dog-friendly indoor café with electrical outlets at select tables and genuinely warm service.
The matcha latte was comforting if a bit standard, and the vegetable soup with local yuba and cheese had a mild, homestyle charm. The real standout, however, was the staff. My waitress, though not Japanese, was fluent in both English and Japanese and incredibly accommodating. Her warmth—and the dog-loving attitude of the whole team—made the experience feel personal and welcoming.
I stayed for a couple of hours and almost forgot I was technically working. Unfortunately, a noisy ceiling fan above my table kicked in partway through and broke the calm. It made the space uncomfortably chilly and disrupted the otherwise peaceful vibe. I would’ve moved or left if not for a scheduled online meeting.
Still, for travelers with pets or remote workers seeking comfort and kindness, this spot is a solid pick—especially for the rare combination of hospitality, outlets, and indoor pet access.
Rating: 4 stars (Great service and setting, with minor issues in comfort)
