Read moreThis was just 100m down from the hotel we stayed. We encountered the geyser in action at around 735am and it lasted for 15mins or so. During the activity, there were alot of steam generated by the geyser and it felt like being in a sauna when you are up close (but should be generally safe as the eruption point is barricaded behind a metal fence and underneath a cave like structure) and our glasses got foggy so it was a bit hard to walk away using the flight of steps due to the fog created which limited our vision. . My first visit at 9:10 am yielded a bit of fog, but nothing spectacular. I then went about my journey for the day.
