We opt for the room with tatami area and it exceeded our expectations. My friend and I ended up sleeping at the tatami area with the comfortable futon beds and blankets provided by the hotels. Dinner buffet was awesome and have a variety, my favourite were the sashimi, crab legs and melon. The sashimi were kept fresh and staff keep topping up the food to ensure that each dishes were sufficient, also their services were excellent. To top it off, the hotel is not far away from the natural oyunuma river footbath entrance . Great to reach hotel within walking distance after you finished your walk from hell valley- oyunuma river - oyunuma footbath. We ended up taking the direct bus to airport where the busstop is just opposite the hotel, a perfect way to end off our Sapporo trip. Will come back to the hotel if we ever come to noboribetsu again. Ps. The souvenir shops at the hotel is duty free when you hit 5000yen (lesser than other duty free shops) and provide sample taster for you to try out the snacks before you buy. Most importantly it sells tibits and other souvenirs at a much cheaper rate than airport and tanukikoji shopping district. Eg. LeTao cheese biscuit (24pc/pack) were sold at 2000yen and 2160yen at airport and tanukikoji. We regretted getting our souvenirs in tanukikoji as it is more expensive and there is no taster, we have to buy base on online reviews and ended up buying snacks which have online rave but is not that great for us. Also our tour luggage ended up pretty heavy and we have to carry it to...

We stay at the very same hotel before covid and it was quite good before with awesome view. We wanted to come back to stay in this hotel for the nice room we had previously.

However, this time we were given an older room with the view facing the road.. their room was quite inconsistent. Some are very new and spacious and some are old and tired. But their service was good. We were welcomed with some great service staffs. The onsen is alright with heavy Sulphur smell. However, I think they do need to upgrade some of their facilities. There are only onsen with different temperature and a small outdoor onsen. Unlike other resort around the area which give better facilities and go extra miles on their amenities. There are no sauna or cold pool available. The dinner and breakfast was so so for me. Unless you love seafood which they supply lots of crab legs and scallops. Food choice wise is slightly disappointing. We stayed in Noboribetsu for 2 nights. 1 night in this hotel and another in another hotel nearby. And this is slightly more expensive than the other but the other provide more choice in dining and facilities such as sauna, special drinks, bigger and nicer room and a lot more choices in food. If you don't mind all the facilities and just want good onsen water with Heavy Sulphur content.. this is the 1 for you. I really do hope the hotel will do some upgrade so that we will come back again and have a more...

Hotel is decent and generally clean. Wouldn’t say that it is spotless but it was decent. Room was spacious. Friendly staff. ||The hotel is located close to the valley so good for walks and sightseeing. If you plan on coming here by public transport alone, it is a bit of a walk from the bus station. When it is snowing, dragging your luggage to/from the hotel may not be as fun. ||There are a few large public baths available at the basement of the hotel. No mix gender bath. Not sure about the female side, but on the male side there were a few different baths, and each seems to have a different temperature. There is also an outdoor bath. The water has a strong sulphur smell, so you know you’re getting genuine stuff but if you cannot stand the rotten egg smell then perhaps seek a different type of onsen. ||The food was alright. Would not say that they were spectacular, but at least edible. It’s a nice place to go for a night or two but I wouldn’t stay long. It appears that there’s no option to go out and eat as there aren’t any eateries around from what we could see. When night comes there’s not much to do other than onsen or stay in your hotel room to watch Netflix. If you have a car, it’s not that far to drive to Sapporo should you wish to do...

Very accommodating for those with dietary restrictions!! I have Celiac disease, so eating out in Japan can be very challenging (no wheat/barley including soy sauce and sushi vinegar! such a tragedy). So I was fully expecting to only be able to eat maybe only one item at the hotel's buffet. But I was pleasantly surprised: (1) The buffet has allergen information clearly labeled on every item, which means I didn't have to stick with only the "obviously gluten-free" items to be safe. (2) They gave me a bottle of gluten free soy sauce! (3) I found plenty to eat. But the staff seemed concerned that there weren't enough choices, so they actually specially brought me out a hot pot every time I came in. I was actually pretty touched. (4) The foods were all fairly separated so I felt comfortable about cross-contamination. So in short, I did not get sick and enjoyed fabulous all-you-can-eat sashimi, hot pot, and desserts, so I was a very happy camper. And aside from the food, the accommodation was very nice. Our room was a lovely Japanese-style with a view of the beautiful trees. The onsen was a great experience. The shuttle from Sapporo was extremely convenient. Thank you for the wonderful stay.
