18/2/25 ,around 10.30am My friend realised, left a handphone at the previous hotel (Shikotsu ) after reach Adex Inn. Cafe staff ,Mr Yoshimuro and his colleague were very helpful , used their handphone to contact and communicate with Shikotsu hotel staff ( our hp was unable to call the local number and the Shikotsu hotel staff didn't speak English). They helped us , talk with Shikotsu Hotel staff ,looked for the phone. Fortunately, the Shikotsu Hotel staff found it. Mr Yoshimuro and his colleague spent 1-2 hours , making a few phone calls to our previous and coming hotel ,to finalise the delivery. Unfortunately, our coming homestay (Sapporo) was uncontactable immediately. The next morning, Mr Yoshimuro and his colleague continued to help us , called and communicated to Shikotsu Hotel staff a few times . Informed them about the Sapporo delivery address , the receiver name, and obtained the Yamato parcel tracking number . Thank you very much to Mr Yoshimuro and his colleague (I am sorry, I am unable to see your name tag). Despite your busy working duty, remain very patient and gentle to us(3 ladies), Thank you very much! どうもありがとうございます。
Btw. The coffee , bread and the environment are nice...

However..... The coffee was... Really bitter and ashy. This looked like a decent coffee specialty shop, but anyone charging 660 for an Americano should serve really decent tasting coffee. But unfortunately I had to put 3 packs of sugar and 2 servings of cream to drown out the bad taste (I never put anything usually)
Anyhow.... Came out to be 2700yen for 2 Americanos, a cinnabun, an apple pie and a small square cake (that was actually decent for 150yen). Way ovwrpriced, even more so considering the only thing we appreciated was the cinnamon roll.
This is coming from someone who leaves alot of 4-5 stars reviews and is easily impressed.
Other than that, the seating area is cozy, bright...
Read moreDon’t sleep on the pastries! I loved the pear tart so much that I got a second one. By the end of my visit, I had eaten 2 pair tarts, a chocolate croissant, a raison snail (pastry), and took another fruit tart to go. My husband thought I was crazy but the quality of the pastries were so good! They were perfectly flaky, not stale in the slightest, and the fruit tarts were the perfect amount of sweet (not too sweet or sour at all). I wish I had eaten here yesterday too!
The coffees options are pretty standard - no fancy syrups, just 2 blends of beans and only the choices of americano, latte or cappuccino in terms of style but honestly it was nice that there was even a coffee shop in this area of noboribetsu. The staff were really nice and friendly and the ambiance...
