The room is quite modernized and large, in-room dining experience is excellent. Reception staff are quite helpful when we arrive earlier to store our luggage at the hotel. Parking staff was very attentive, help to park the car after you arrive. Onsen area is quite big with 4 different types of onsen.

However, there are some places need to be improved:

  1. The air conditioning in Room 803 is very disappointing, I tried to lower the temperature however it stays hot, which is quite annoying after taking hot onsen bath, larger horsepower of air conditioning should be provided given the size of the room. In addition, air conditioning air outlet installed near window is totally unbelievable, the blind keep moving when cold air is coming out. I don't know whether AC is centralized control, hence cannot alternate temperature, hotel staff should understand different people have different perception on temperature preference.

  2. Shower head is small and the water flow is very weak. Although it is onsen hotel and most people go to onsen to take shower. It is however some circumstances need to be taken care of. Let say during a woman in her menstrual period, and those with long hair, small & low water pressure is very annoying. I hope hotel staff can immediately replace all small shower head.

  3. Breakfast selection is limited, I hope more western cuisine can be provided. No semi-auto coffee machine, just a can containing coffee. Once again, breakfast venue air...

We chose the premium room for our family of 4 with 4 normal beds in a 59 sq meters room . Very spacious room with dining table , separate toilet and bath .Everything was perfect even the kaiseki dinner we chose was pretty good. Unfortunately , we figured out later that the air condition in our room is inadequate because there was only a small vent emitting limited cold air from one corner of the room and it couldn’t cool off the whole room after 6 hours ever since we checked in( the remote control with temperature indication was a joke under this circumstances) although the day we checked in was around 25 degrees , it was still too warm without enough cool air to ventilate the room . ||We decided to request for an electric fan and the reception didn’t understood much English but still , we tried our best to communicate and they brought us an electric fan , asking their staff to check if our air condition is working or not but nothing more they can do.||The whole family didn’t sleep well that night , thank||God we only stayed there for one night but have been sweating the whole night and I regret I didn’t request for 2 more electric fans . Please don’t choose to stay in this kind of room during hot summer days . Maybe it’s only my room that had the air condition issues,...

Stayed 2 nights in Jun with Kaisekiryouri - in room Japanese full-course dinner & breakfast buffet. Staff will then layout the futon after dinner. We have chosen "miso pork yaki on a clay plate" dinner course when making the reservation. And thought that only the meat dish would've changed on our second nights. Surprisingly, they served us a whole new menu from tempura with steamed veggies to other seafood starters. We were amazed by the thoughtfulness and care that they have put into our dinner, all food & aperitif tasted so good and delicious. Kaisekiryouri definitely is the highlight of this Ryokan, however the breakfast buffet was mediocre. Location is also a plus, literally just next to the onsen bus terminal & just another minute walk to Tourist Information Centre where can take a free ride on an electric bus to the Jigokudani (Hell Valley) & Foot Spa area. This was our third time visiting Noboribetsu and we had a great stay.

This hotel is right opposite to the bus stop and about 50m from 7/11 and seicomart. I m not gonna lie this place is old, maybe not as old as the lady who brought the dinner to our room. But the food was fabulous and the old lady was nice and efficient. We booked this holiday at last second. So we couldn’t book other fancy ones coz of availability. But this one is surprisingly good as they not that busy so the hot spring area is not as packed as others. At least my shy boy was not embarrassed, coz there ain’t any public bath in Australia and this was his first time. Well I did go there with him at dinner time to avoid the crowd. Also the size of the room is bigger than the average (Japanese standard).
