This is such a great place to stay, the skiing is literally 3-5 minutes walk from accommodation and was the most amazing ski fields ever from incredible beginner tracks to sensational expert skiing, no crowds and beautiful soft snow with amazing scenery and service. The manager of the hostel was very lovely, a great Cook and the breakfasts are recommended and inexpensive. The coffee beautiful. Nothing was any trouble, and his encouragement for the beginner skier so valuable. The hostels on the bottom floor are little, clean with a curtain as a door leading into the main common area, which is both traditional Japanese with some table and chairs included. The top story was great with a six people sleeping area or 3 people sleeping area with shared toilet and kitchen. The bathroom was in Japanese Style with a cleaning area then the small but beautifully deep bath with the FANTASTIC thermal hot water from the ground. Read moreI love this ski resort. It has several slopes..and of many kinds. Many moguls too but then there is lot of easier moguls too. Several slopes for beginners also. Similarly several for intermediate and those who wish to move to advance. From the peak there are three ways to go down one of which is off track. This was is quite fun!! Many restaurants too here. Food is good. This is good for 2-3 days stay. Even one day is okay but I prefer longer as the town itself is very cozy place to hang out. Down at Nagasaka lift there's a craft beer place too in case it is of your interest. You can take ski classes also for which you should go...
