Flat white in Japan! After 5 days in Japan I finally had a good coffee. Then I realized they make pizza as well. Had a chat with Nicola, one of the bakers and he himself rated the pizza 8.5/10. 19 being the best pizza in Italy. His reason: the cheese is not the same as in Italy. We ordered a Margarita, a Prosciutto, and a Salami. To me it was an 8. The base was perfect, so was the sauce, and I didn’t mind the cheese but it was missing basil on margarita and rocket on Prosciutto. Overall I was surprisingly impressed. Definitely a good choice if you want to take a break from the wonderful Japanese cuisine for a dinner....
Read moreDelicious baked goods, real espresso machine, surprisingly good pizza. It’s a cute, warm cafe. Nice set of scones, cookies, cream puffs, and small loaves of bread baked fresh. There’s not a ton of variety but there’s probably something for everyone and the prices are reasonable. The carrot cake was cold and more moist than cakey, which is fine, just something to be aware of. They do the basic set of espresso drinks. I don’t think they did drip coffee, or maybe only in the morning, but they’ll do an Americano. There are several tables and I never saw it so full we couldn’t get one, morning...
Read moreThe apartment was just amazing with the best kitchen I've so far encountered in Japan (to be honest I cannot recall any other kitchen in a rented apartment that has been better) I loved pretty much everything about this place and can only come to think of two things that could have made it even better. First since we stayed here in July it was obviously pretty hot and there is only one air-conditioning (in the common area) making the bedrooms a bit warm despite fans.
