Read moreVisiting the Abeno Harukas 300 Observatory was an unforgettable experience and easily one of Osaka’s must-see attractions. Located on the top three floors (58–60) of Japan’s tallest skyscraper, this observatory delivers breathtaking 360° panoramic views of the city and beyond. From the moment I stepped out onto the wide glass deck, the skyline sprawled in every direction—Osaka Bay, the Umeda district’s high-rises, and even Mount Ikoma on a clear day.
The space is beautifully designed for comfort and enjoyment. The indoor observation levels are bright and airy, with large windows, telescopes, and informative panels in English and Japanese, making it easy to orient yourself with the landmarks below. The highlight, however, is the open-air sky terrace on the 60th floor—no glass between you and the sky. Even late in the day, the sunset view was pure magic: the warm hues reflecting off neighboring buildings and the river, then transforming into a sea of city lights. As dusk settles, the whole of Osaka glitters like a galaxy beneath your feet.
Staff were friendly and helpful, pointing out sights and answering questions about distances and history. There’s also a cozy café with refreshments—perfect for sipping coffee while gazing through floor-to-ceiling windows. The gift shop has charming souvenirs, including postcards, keychains, and local snacks.
Getting there is easy via Tennoji Station, connected directly to the Harukas building. The ticket process was smooth, and standard admission includes access to both indoor and outdoor decks. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or an Osaka resident, Abeno Harukas 300 offers a spectacular, immersive way to appreciate the city’s scale, energy, and beauty. Highly recommended for couples, families, or solo adventurers looking for that stunning “above-it-all”...
