A deeply disappointing and discriminatory experience – avoid as a foreigner.

I rarely write negative reviews, but this experience deserves to be shared. My wife and I visited this restaurant based on its impressive 4.7-star rating. Unfortunately, that rating did not reflect our experience.

After placing our order, we waited over 50 minutes without receiving more than one dish. Meanwhile, several Japanese guests who arrived well after us were promptly served their meals within 5–10 minutes. Only when I began to question the delay did the staff suddenly start to rush and act as though they had just noticed the issue — which felt more like damage control than genuine service.

The difference in treatment was blatant and uncomfortable. As visitors from abroad, we felt ignored, disrespected, and ultimately discriminated against. If this same situation occurred in the U.S., it would be immediately recognized as racial bias.

To anyone visiting Japan: be cautious when choosing this place. It’s overpriced, the service was deeply disappointing, and if you’re not local, you may not be treated fairly. There are many incredible and welcoming restaurants in Japan — this is not...

Blatantly racist service. We came here because of the good reviews, but had an awful experience. We’re a European couple, and after ordering, we watched three groups of Japanese customers come in after us, order, and get their food almost immediately. We waited over 30 minutes and only got drinks. When we asked about our food, the waiter responded in Japanese and didn’t come back. Another 20 minutes passed before a different server finally brought our food. No apology, no explanation. The food wasn’t good either — definitely not worth the wait or the disrespect.
