Although the pancakes were fluffy as is shown in the photo, my first time experience was very lacking. There were 3 women working at the time. The first woman greeted these 2 other Japanese ladies and sat them down, and it seem as if she ignored my presence standing there as she went and wipe down cups instead. She could have easily sat me down to wait since there were 2 tables empty and cleaned. I am a solo traveler so it shouldn't take long to seat me. It finally took the second woman to seat me after I'm just standing there at the front for maybe 2 minutes or so. I was please to have finally sat down as I was even setting up my GoPro to vlog the food. I was waiting for about 5 minutes when a female Japanese customer was sat down to the table next to me. I found it odd that my order wasn't taken yet as I have been sitting for awhile. I didn't think much of it, because maybe they're busy. It turns out that the same woman working there that first sat me down started to take the female customer order first right in front of me. I thought it was off yet again, because maybe she was just addressing any questions the customer may have. I was in disbelief that the customer next to me got her food as to me not having even order yet. I'm sure you can't just forget the foreign guy sitting right there. I had to Google translate my issue of not having my order taken at all while the lady already had her food. After apologizing to me and finally taking my order, I did in fact receive my food and drink. Thinking maybe they'll make it up to me, the drink should at least be free for the rudeness or lack of attentiveness I received. When I received the bill, I was charged both the food and drink. I didn't even order a soda, but I have been waiting too long to change for the lemonade which I pointed on the menu. After bringing up my concerns, they removed the price of drink from my bill. It shouldn't have resulted for me to make a complaint in the first place, because that made me feel mistreated as a foreigner. Please be just as attentive to your foreign customer as you do with your Japanese customers. The girl that did serve me was very nice and...
Read moreYou need to get a ticket and it was busy. Took about two hours to get a table but that’s understandable as many small places in Japan are like this.
The service however was quite slow although the waiter apologized which was nice.
After all the wait, the food came and looked great. That is until I put the fork thorough to find that they were raw inside. After looking through reviews closer and seeing other people with uncooked experiences from here getting sick for soldiering through…I did not and sent them back.
Finally got a replacement order to eat (coffee cold by this point) and they were alright and a big step up from the first batch but nothing to write home about and not worth the wait and extra hassle.
Would have been one star but the waiter was pleasant about it and the service was good. With so many good option in this mall alone I’d give...
Read moreUpdated After receiving a considerate response from Belle-Ville Pancake's owner regarding my review, I value their acknowledgment. Their attentiveness and dedication to customer satisfaction are reassuring. Despite the initial issue, the delicious, fluffy pancakes were a highlight. I'm optimistic about their ongoing efforts to maintain high standards.
Original My experience at Belle-Ville Pancake was unfortunately disappointing. On a morning visit, when the place wasn’t too crowded, we decided to try their morning set with pancakes. The pancakes were soft and fluffy. They tasted good. However, the cleanliness of the restaurant was concerning, as we encountered a roach crawling on our bench seat. Thankfully, a patron at a nearby table swiftly dealt with it. This experience significantly diminished our dining experience at...
