Osaka Port International Ferry Terminal — Attraction in Osaka

A day after the Panstar Miracle maiden voyage from the Busan Port. The Osaka terminal seems to be buzzing with officials and VIP guests who have arrived or leaving.

Departure time seems to be delayed to 5:00pm but have not heard any official announcements. Regular passengers are a little confused. There were signage to get the tickets at the 1st floor but they were passing them out on the 3rd floor. Staffs don’t seem to be in the same page.

Embarkment is not design for accessibility. For some reason it’s jerry-rigged with a step of more than a foot down onto a plastic pallet. The escalator was not on. The elevator is not scalable for the amount of passengers flooding into the small space.

Printout instructions on how to get into the room is incorrect. Most people had trouble getting into their rooms. Later, the overhead speaker says the QR code cannot be used but to use the password instead. However, with the password instructions they omitted to say you’ll have to press # after the password. It felt like a frustration at every turn.

There is supposed to be a shuttle between the terminal and the Cosmos Square Station but there is no schedule posted that I can find. I didn’t rely on it getting to the terminal. However, if you are disembarking, the arrival hall has a sign pointing to the shuttle to...

・対応言語 乗船スタッフは多国籍です。英語・韓国語は◎。日本語はスタッフによりますが基本◯。翻訳アプリPapagoのインストールおすすめ。

・船酔いについて 想像以上に揺れなく快適でした。復路が悪天候で波が高かったようですが、酔い止めあればバッチリです。船内でも1個2,000wで購入可。

・コンビニや自販機 24時間購入可能。コンビニは韓国商品が多く価格もお手頃。クレカがあると便利です。自販機は日本製品で通常の2倍程度の価格です。

・対応通貨や両替 通過は韓国のウォンになります。両替は釜山港にありました。船内はクレカで決済しました。現金でも可能なようです。

・食事について 事前購入（大人2200円）で、ビュッフェが夜朝の2食提供されます。コンビニではお粥やカップラーメン、ルームサービスでも食事はできます。

・お風呂 大浴場&サウナが船内にあり、個室にはシャワーブースがあります。

・ラウンジについて デラックススイートまたはロイヤルスイートを予約すると、船内ラウンジは利用可能。フルサービス予約の場合は大阪南港ターミナル3階のラウンジも利用できます。

▼パンスタードリーム号のポイント ・フェリーターミナル到着から乗船まで、短時間で済むので時間が無駄な時間が少ない。15:00南港発だと14:00頃に到着してベストな感じでした。

・手荷物が1人30kgまで船内に持ち込み可能。化粧品やドリンクなども存分に購入できる。持ち込みの荷物に個数制限もないようです。

・釜山港からで釜山駅は直結で徒歩10分程度。韓国滞在時間は無駄なく存分に楽しめる。釜山港10:00着なので、午前中から釜山観光ができます。

・船内は個室を予約すればホテルのようで快適で安心安全に過ごせる。

If you are a foreigner trying to figure out if the Panstar cruise from Osaka to Busan is legit or not: it is. The scariest part is when you have an email saying you need to get your tickets 90 minutes before departure. You can basically ignore this. We showed up quite a bit before boarding and it was quiet and we were the only foreigners, so we spent some time stressing about whether we were missing something, but we weren't.

The ticket booth will open up something like 45 minutes before departure. Before then it will appear to be closed. This is the time you walk up with your passport etc to exchange your voucher for a ticket.

The building has poor signage and it's unclear what to do, but just trust the process. It will also be extremely obvious when to board; someone will come out and guide you toward the bus that takes you...
