Nakaike Pond — Attraction in Oshino

Nakaike Pond is super clear and really pretty, especially if you show up early in the morning, but just a heads up, if you come too early, the place feels totally dead lol. None of the shops are open, the water wheel isn’t moving, and the carp pond area is closed. On the plus side, it’s super peaceful and quiet, so you get the whole place to yourself.

The pond has some fish in it, looks like trout, I think? After walking around, I was surprised by how small the area is, you can easily cover everything in under 30 minutes. Still, it’s a nice little spot to check out when it’s not packed...

Amazing clear ponds with koi fishes. A were lucky with clear skies and Mt Fuji is clearly visible. You can drink speing water here for free. We bought fresh strawberry and tried the yogurt ice cream. There's a souvenir shop inside and free taste tea.

Highly recommended to include in your itinerary. Time to spend here about an...

Good tourist location. Not much to do or see. Just a simple street shopping/food area built around a small pond/hot spring in the middle of a small town. Too many people, too far out of the way. On a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji in the background but there are much better location to see Mt....
