Worst experience at mochi section.

The store only accepted cash. The customer in front placed their coins on a tray, and as the staff member took the tray, she accidentally tipped it over. All the coins (one ¥100 coin and five ¥10 coins) fell onto the surface of the desserts. The staff member slowly picked up the coins but did nothing regarding the food.

When it was my turn to purchase, the staff member handed me the dessert that had coins fall on it. I pointed out that I saw the coins land on that specific dessert and requested a replacement. At this point, the staff member waved their hand, signaling me to leave.

Since the staff member only spoke Japanese and my Japanese wasn’t fluent, I didn’t argue further. However, I believe they should not have continued selling contaminated desserts.

Overall, my experience in Japan has been very positive, but the impact of overcrowding from tourists here is quite severe. I think the authorities should implement measures to improve the flow...

There are 2 stores that sells grilled fish cake and red bean filling mochii. These are the 2 stores that I recommend to try. Very Good grilled mochii, lots of red bean fillings. And the large variety of fish cakes with different fillings. Must try.

Ikemoto Shop is a busy tourist spot for souvenirs and traditional snack food stalls.

You can find many kind of mochi, freshly cooked seafood and much more.

Its also fun to walk around...
