The area around Hie Otabisho Sanctuary was packed with people, full of energy, tradition, and celebration. We were lucky to witness the dancing lion (獅子舞) performance—a traditional act where the lion prays and blesses spectators with good fortune. It was a fun and symbolic moment that added depth to the festive mood. Accompanied by ceremonial floats, music, and beautifully dressed participants, the atmosphere was rich and memorable. A must-see cultural experience if you’re in Takayama during festival season!

ご存知、春の高山祭りで有名な氏神様として山王さまと親しまれているお宮さんです。春の日枝神社の例祭で、毎年４月14日と15日に開催されています。今年は、小雨が降って屋台が出ませんでした。参拝後に、平成最後の特別御朱印をいただきました。半紙の書き置きの御朱印です。御朱印帳に記帳希望の方は、日枝神社の方までお願いいたしますとのこと。2日間のみで、平成最後の御朱印希...
