I had an absolutely incredible experience at this ramen shop in Takayama! The flavors were simply out of this world — every bite was rich, perfectly balanced, and deeply satisfying. The broth was packed with depth, the noodles had just the right texture, and the toppings were fresh and delicious.

On top of the amazing food, the service was outstanding. The staff were warm, attentive, and made me feel truly welcome from the moment I walked in. You can really tell they care about both the quality of their dishes and the happiness of their guests.

This was easily one of the best ramen experiences I’ve ever had, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Takayama. An unforgettable meal — I can’t wait...

Sanmachi serves authentic Takayama ramen with clear yet flavorful shoyu broth and springy thin noodles. Some bowls even come topped with juicy Hida beef 🥩, adding a local touch you can’t miss. Affordable and simple ramen restaurant in Takayama. We waited for about 15~20min before we were seated. They have an English menu so you can ask for that if you can't read Japanese.

We ordered the regular size ramen with additional pork and egg toppings, and a hida beef skewer. I wish there were a bit more toppings. The ramen noodles were good. The beef skewer has an interesting seasoning to it that reminds me of shampoo. Probably some kind of...
