Wow. I didn't know if I would run into a tourist trap or not. But it gave me confidence that compared to many other restaurants in Takayama they tell you exactly the cut of meat and the degree of marbling, and don't describe it as others generally like "superior beef." What can I say.Exceptional meat to say the least, almost the knife is superfluous, the steak could really be cut with a fork because of how tender it was. Perfect cooking. Even the sides were surprisingly good, the salad is carefully made, the bread is so good and crispy. Everything perfect, including the service. The restaurant has very few tables but when I went there were as many as 3 waiters, they always glanced at the table to see if you needed anything else or to look if your water glass was empty and come promptly to refill it....

Make a reservation through google and the restaurant will email or call you to confirm. Service was also phenomenal. I was thoroughly impressed with my first cut of the medium sirloin. Melted in my mouth. I took a bite of the tenderloin ordered by my wife. Wow. Incredible.
I believe it was not just the quality of hida beef but also the way it was cooked in this restaurant.
