高円寺 CLUB ROOTS — Attraction in Tokyo

I really want to like this place. The atmosphere is good, the sound is decent (vocals could have been more audable) and I watched some incredible artists. However, at the afterparty myself (guest to one of the bands) and an artist featured on stage that night, were rudely asked by a staff member to «finish our drinks as fast as possible and leave», because we had chosen to buy drinks individually rather than the «all-you-can-drink» option. Mind you, it was 1. a weekday and most of the attendants didn’t want to drink too much or stay out to late. 2. We weren’t sitting down or getting anywhere close to the snacks (though I can name several livehouses in the area that wouldn’t have mindrd this), and 3. we weren’t even asked or explained about the afterparty deal when we purchased our last drinks, at approxamately the same time as most attendants. It made us feel very unwelcomed and sourred an otherwise...

A nice little venue. But the bar could be a lot bigger! Only 2 people can get to the bar at any one time. It’s also a bit weird to see people sitting down in what looks like a small rock venue where people should...

The venue is quite small. I would recommend bringing earplugs if you attend any events here. Due to the size of the venue, you're always close to...
