A fun, beautiful place to stroll around on a sunny morning. Small ponds, stairs, and perfectly manicured landscapes — just what you’d expect from a classic Japanese garden.
It is in a mostly residential area, so you’ll have to walk ~10 minutes to eateries for lunch if you plan on spending the morning here.
They also have wagashi and nihoncha sets for ¥600 or so (not sure if they sell during other seasons.) I highly recommend this green if you’re in the area. Benches sprinkled throughout if you just want to sit and enjoy the view.

There is a museum library of the Hosokawa clan at the top of a hill, and more buildings near the lake, restroom facilities. Theres a tea house which sells matcha and you enjoy it sitting in a japanese style room while taking in the beautiful scenery of the park. There are a variety of flowers during different seasons to take in. The staff are all so lovely and you leave feeling relaxed, and that you wish you could have your own japanese garden... absolutely worth a visit as theres so much...
