Living in Crevia was the best decision I could’ve made when finding a place to live abroad. Initially, I was very stressed trying to find a place to live in Tokyo as I had never been to Japan, but I contacted Itochu in a time when I was very stressed and they helped me. They were very attentive and we were able to get me a room and sign a contract quickly, this was right after the dorm result announcement came out and I’m sure many people were contacting them. During this time I had contacted many other dorms, but Crevia Will Waseda was the one that contacted me quickly, answered all my questions, and secured me a spot in the dorm within a few hours of contacting them. After arriving to Japan, I was very nervous because I was not very good at Japanese and have never been to the country before. I came to the dorm and was greeted by the RAs, Yoshie and Takuma, who were kind and showed me around the dorm. They even took me to dinner that night and showed me around the area a bit, which helped me calm my nerves a lot. Everyone I have become friends with in Crevia have been so open, helpful, and kind. I genuinely have made livelong friendships here. I would 100% live in Crevia Will Waseda again if I were to do it all again. People hang out in the common spaces and are very kind. We often hang out and go to dinners with our friends from the dorms too! I honestly couldn’t imagine a better community to be a part of. Many people speak different languages, so it makes it easier to connect with others! It is a very international dorm and I’ve never lived with people from so many different countries before. It’s honestly really cool to live with such a diverse group of people! The rooms in Crevia are very nice, I have a room with a balcony and bath/shower room, it is clean, maximizes it’s space well, and is enjoyable to live in. I did get a bed rental from the dorm, which is one thing I slightly regret. The bed is like a futon roll and is pretty thin and uncomfortable if that is something you aren’t used to. That is one thing to think about if you are staying and prioritize having a comfortable bed, you can go to stores nearby to buy a bed without it being too expensive and might be a bit cheaper than the bed rental. One other thing I wish is that the dryers were a bit better, your clothes are still left damp after drying. If they could improve that, it would be nice. Other than that I do not have any other complaints. The gym is a bit small, but me and my friend work out there every day! It’s so convenient and I do not have to get a gym membership anywhere else! I am so grateful to be able to live in Crevia and am so so thankful for the memories and friends I’ve made here. The location is 2 minutes away from Waseda campus and is super convenient. There’s tons of little restaurants nearby, so it’s easy to get food. It is also a 20 minute walk from Takadanobaba, which is very nice as well. I love living in Nishiwaseda, it is such a nice neighborhood! Please consider living in Crevia Will Waseda, every place has a few cons, but there are far far...
Read moreCrevia Will I moved in two months ago. I think it is one of the more open dorms of Waseda and Japan in general. There are a lot of international and Japanese people (Male and Female) and what I like a lot is how good people get along in the public spaces. If you read other people reviews ofcourse in public dorms it gets dirty. The people living here are students and some people are lazy but it’s like that everywhere. There is a very good international community here. The older people are very nice and very supportive and almost everyone here speaks fluent English, very good Japanese some people speak Chinese there are some Germans French people people from Korea, the Netherlands etc. I believe honestly it’s very easy to find friends here if you do the work and go to public spaces sometimes. The parts that I don’t like about this dorm is that some people don’t clean after themselves properly, the pricing for the rooms is quite high (probably because it’s in Tokyo and is located very good) and that some rules are strict compared to...
Read moreThis is my first time living long term in Japan and the experience in Crevia has been very stressfree and supportive.
People here are all very nice and international and you can actually mingle with others in the common area, which I find is the best thing staying in a dormitory.
The room setup is also great - they have individual bathroom and shower so you don’t have to share with others. The design and quality of the room are also very satisfactory with enough storage space and balcony.
The only demerit is the rental that is slightly high comparing to renting an apartment locally, would be great if can provide a more student friendly price. And would be amazing if we can have more...
