I recently dined at Mughal Halal Indian Restaurant in Tokyo, and it was an extraordinary culinary experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Mughal Roast Biryani, which was nothing short of spectacular. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, with a perfect blend of spices that created a unique and mouth-watering taste. The chefs at Mughal have truly mastered the art of biryani, making it a must-try dish for anyone who appreciates authentic Indian cuisine.
Beyond the biryani, the entire menu showcased the rich and diverse flavors of India, with each dish crafted with meticulous care and authenticity. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, providing a perfect setting to enjoy the delicious food. Read moreThe most authentic south Asian restaurant I've been to outside of Pakistan. The best thing on their menu is Lamb Roast Biryani. It's top of the class, easily better than a lot of restaurants back home. The owners are very kind and hospitable. We also ordered the lassi (really good), chicken Mandi (the chicken was similar to tikka- totally delicious, and nihari (made from mutton but we cleaned the plate it was amazing).
This place is exceptional especially standing in the midst of a lot of other South Asian restaurants that are maybe cheaper but do not taste anywhere close to how good this is.
We could have ordered their sets (which I'm sure are pretty good seeing the overall quality of their food) but we chose to get the specialities because after going there once, we were sure it would be worth it.
Special thanks to the owners for giving us mango custard as a...

Travelled all the way from Katsushika-ku to Waseda for Biriyani. Ordered Hyderabadi Chicken as well as Mutton Biriyani.
Hyderabadi Mutton Biriyani had long grain basmati rice, dowsed heavily with brown onions with luscious mutton chunks. Chicken Biriyani was also equally delicious.
The best thing was that the biryani was so light and flavorful doesn't leave you heavy at all. The portions were generous for the price.
Accompaniments like Salad, Yogurt and a drink could be added in addition with biriyani for a smaller fee. And I chose hot chai which was subtle depth of spice flavors. They also served us a dessert, mango flavored sweet (not aware about the name).
Mr. Amid Khan and his wife hosted us so well. Try Mughal restaurant for their toothsome mouth-watering biryanis. You’ll never be...
