This is an Abura Soba shop (no broth like in ramen, just slight amount of sauce at the bottom) with a ticket vending machine system. All items have descriptions in English with a photo, so there is definitely no issue about being able to make your order without Japanese. You add extra vinegar and chili oil, with extra chili paste (was quite spicy) and mix them. Ordered the large one that costs 1000 yens, did add the toppings and everything, mixed well but the flavor was just not there. Possibly was one of the harder meals to finish for me. I usually don’t leave any food behind, so I found myself cringing as I discovered more and more pork rolls beneath the noodles. Pork was not flavorful or soft enough, and the noddles didn’t have the right texture without any bite to them. The sauce in general lacked the balance. I’ve been to even better tasting chain stores, so while the serving is definitely huge, that doesn’t make up for the lack of flavor. Wouldn’t come back again. It gets crowded as well. A no-frills, affordable and honestly one of the very best aburasoba restaurants in town (the city? the country? the world?).

It is an extremely narrow and busy restaurant, so expect a wait (even into the night). There are explicit instructions on exactly how much vinegar and hot oil to add, which should be humorously followed to the tee (it is definitely worth it).

Do not order the extra roast pork unless you are a big eater - it is a very generous amount of pork.

Very generous meat portions, will satisfy even the most hungry. Tastes great too! The place has limited space to sit down, so it might be hard to accommodate a large group. The order is done via a vending machine which only has limited Japanese translations, so it won't be obvious what is the difference between different orders if you don't read Japanese.
