Museum of Roadside Art — Attraction in Tokyo

Heard about this museum from word of mouth, and it was such a wild, unexpected surprise! This place showcases various types of underground art that are unique, obscure, and rare!

They were very friendly and accommodating to us as foreign tourists and took the time to guide us through the museum and explain various art pieces.

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and would absolutely recommend - though looked like admission cost is slightly less on the week days. 😉 Still worthwhile and quite a collection. SO COOL! This was a very unique attraction in Japan. Bizarre art, but with a purpose. The owner of the place is very kind and very patient. She was able to explain a lot to me in English, though we relied on translation apps for some. She also let me try out the Japanese that I knew on her. Very accommodating!
