It took me 1.5 hr to get to this place, but I think the sweets hunting journey was worthy. I ordered the parfait and ate it on the counter table at the out side of the shop. The parfait comes as a combo wiz a drink, I ordered the white wine which perfectly matches the parfait. The parfait had green tea ice cream (not Matcha), cherry ice cream (perhaps, not too sure), matcha pudding, milk pudding, and some crunchy baked small particles (nuts? Maybe). On top of the parfait were too mint leaves which were baked and were added an extra flavor. The totally cost was ~3200 yen, which was around 38 Canadian Dollar. A little bit pricy but I am satisfied.
Then I decided to order four pieces of cake to share wiz my friends. The cake I ordered were: strawberry shortcake wiz compote and light cream. Tiramisu wiz coffee syrup and Mascarponecheese. Matcha opera wiz 宇治のMatcha, Paris cream and orange garnache. Fruit tart wiz Whole strawberry on top, and almond cream filled inside of the tart. I loved all of them, the price of the cakes was on average wiz other dessert shops, but the quality of the cakes was above average. My first pick for recommendation would be the shortcake though.
Oh, forget to mention, their services was good as well.
Read moreBoth the patisserie/cafe next door and the creperie are very popular and understandably so. They serve seasonal desserts with creative and unexpected flavor combinations - for me it can be a hit or a miss, but it’s always an interesting experience. I am always impressed by their coffee and tea too. For each seasonal item they have a recommended coffee/tea that really completes the dessert.

MAY 2024 UPDATE
I've been going a few times a year since 2019. I still enjoy the seasonal crepes more than the fancy parfaits.
The quality of the food is the same, but the atmosphere and service is different now. They've stopped doing tea/coffee pairings for single order items, and the staff won't make a recommendation even if I ask.
They've since expanded the business to include a sit-down salon nearby plus a branch in Fukuoka. Now the crepes are served in custom-made steel stands with their branding. They used to be served in a glass and were easy to take out or enjoy casually on a stool outside the store.
This cafe was always about luxury and quality with high prices to match. I'll keep going, but these days the place feels less thoughtful and more and more cold and unapproachable. It's...
Read moreA beautiful and unique parfait experience. The staff was very friendly. I saw this patisserie featured in Timeout Tokyo so made a point of reserving a table once reservations opened (Thurs at 9pm JST, for the following week). It's located in a residential area of Jiyugaoka so required three transfers from Shinjuku but it was well worth it. It's also not cheap but once again, it was worth it. You should check that the two parfait are to your liking in any given month however. One style should suit a non-Japanese palate. I would definitely visit again though perhaps on my own next time as my daughter struggled to...
