Great alternative to commercial cat cafes! My fiance, brother, and I really enjoyed our time here. We spent an hour, but could have stayed longer!
I really admire the woman who runs the place. She didn't speak English, and I don't speak Japanese, but we communicated great using translator apps. The owner is an amazing woman who loves cats. She prioritizes handicapped cats that normally wouldn't be given a chance at a happy life.
All cats are adoptable, and choosing from rescued cats is so much better than a pet store! The money made goes to support the cats.
The cats were super friendly and loved sitting in laps, playing, and eating treats. Although it is a small area, they had many toys, beds, and were not EVER forced to interact with guests. They actually had many places they could hide or sleep away from visitors (even a completely different room), but she purposely chooses friendly cats, so most will visit with you and ask for cuddles. Lovely and helpful staff. Foreigner friendly and the staff is patient and helpful in welcoming us even if we don't speak Japanese.
You can reserve online through their site but we visited without one. You pay 1,000 yen per person (good for 1 hr and an extra 200 yen per 15mins) and you can purchase a pair of socks if you don't have one for 200 yen.
