Toko Indonesia - Okubo — Attraction in Tokyo

Ultra popular mini supermarket on one of Tokyo’s many sidestreets. If you want any Indonesia or Brunei inspired comfort food, spices, or deli meats, this place has it all. I have been looking for teh tarik since I visited Brunei, but everywhere I looked it was impossible to import. Not only did this store have it chilled in pet bottles, but it also had it in packs to make at home. The aisles are a bit narrow, and the place seems perpetually busy, but the line moves quickly, and even in the summer heat, everyone seemed in a positive mood. You can find Indonesian products and spices here. Some notable mentions are Coffee, Bumbu (Spices) like cumins, coriander, chili's, and shallots. You can also find the famous Indonesian noodles, Indomie, here. There's also several imported goods like Thailand's green curry and tom yum. It is located near the Okubo station on the JR Chuo line and also Shin-Okubo station (a little walk) on the JR Yamanote line. The only minus things about this place is it's small space and entrance. Best place for Indonesian spices and groceries in Tokyo. It is a small shop and I advice not to come on Sunday evening. Went there on Sunday evening and always crowded.
