NCL Spirit disembarkation Nov 26 2024.

It is a new-ish facility and certainly more convenient than Yokohama - it only took us half an hour to reach Toyosu Market from the terminal, and that saved us from getting back to the Toyosu area from downtown.

There is a free shuttle to the Teleport station where you can change to the city's metro network, though most people appeared to opt for taxis, which inevitably required some patience to get one.

One star was knocked off because the big queue for elevator was confusing and blocking access to the escalators. Spirit is a smaller ship so I expected things to run smoother, though we were also not the earliest bunch to get off the ship.

We walked to the monorail station and the 8-minute walk was okay with each of us pushing just one suitcase. Few fellow guests used the monorail that day.

There is an information kiosk and they were giving out some special coasters to commemorate the use of the Tokyo terminal. A...

Experience arriving to the terminal was fairly seamless, though there were some streets blocked off for Formula 1 which meant our driver had to find a long roundabout to get there. Would have been helpful for Police or traffic control to have signage or advanced notice on the streets to avoid confusion for tourists. The terminal itself is spacious, clean, and has plenty of rest rooms. One note about leaving the terminal following the conclusion of our cruise was we had hired a private driver and the port authority would not let any private companies onsite, only taxis and shuttle buses. You'll need to exit the terminal, head towards the walkway side-by-side with taxi pickup, and follow the walkway for about 300m before coming up on the entry road to the terminal where you can meet...

We arrived here via the Carnival Luminosa in September 2023. This is the nicest port I've been to on my cruise travels. Tokyo port was very impressive. The taiko drums greeted us. We had family pick us up. They had to call ahead to come in and park, but there was no cost just prior approval needed. When we disembarked, they checked our passport and visa. They offered a free bus to the train station for guests who were making their own way for the day. There aren't any port shops inside, so plan to get the last of your shopping done before you return...
