Not a place for sightseeing nor casual shopping. This is a highly charged trading ground where all transactions are made in cash only. Outsiders not familiar with the businesses or sensitive to fishy’s bloody smells should avoid coming here. The market workers will not hesitate to tell anyone off if anybody gets in their way. However, these nakaoroshi has close relationships with their clients. They’re familiar with their client’s preferences & circumstances. Always looking for the best possible product at the optimal price for them.

Early arrived at Toyosu Sushi Dai at 5:45am and began to give out waiting ticket. I could only got a side table (not counter table) for second round "Omakase" at 8:40am (apparently 5:45am still not early enough for a good seat/time). In between visit the Toyosu Fish market and you could only "window watching" the Tuna Fish sell (especially mention the Japanese English speaking guide whom well explain the market and the seafood trade, thanks for your good work!). Finally our Omakase began at 9:00. Service is good within a small restaurant. Their Sushi is good and not too expensive (¥4500/person) I ordered additional Uni Sushi and Akagai sashimi. Suggest Sushi Dai to set the "next round seats" for your customers waiting...

We wanted to see the hype surrounding this place and I could honestly say for 5000yen it's great value but if you had high end Omakase before and you're comparing it to this place then you'll be disappointed. We left our hotel in Shibuya at 0340am and took a taxi straight there. When we arrived at 0410 there was a line of about 17 on a Thursday. Overall it was a great experience to try once for me but I don't think I'll be lining up for it again.

Took some friends there to check out the market and we had a bad experience in this store 千年こうじや. I just asked if amasake was like the one you drink at matsuris and the lady said “not that”laughed mocking at me. I asked what was the difference and she just ignored me and kept working on her computer. I just wanted to know more about it, sorry? Better to go early at around 10 am most of the market is closed.

Great place to visit after TeamLabs, just an easy 15 minute walk. We went on Saturday and it was very busy. The vast majority of people were local, some but not many tourists. Great options for street food, small sit down meals, and the third floor is great for food court style eating. The highlight was definitely the oyster bar, literally had an oyster the size of my hand.
