We had nice sushi lunch at this restaurant after our TeamLab Planets session and visiting Toyosu Senkaku Banrai (TSB) complex nearby. The TSB has good dining options, but totally overwhelmed and overcrowded by tourists, so we tried our luck to find better dining options nearby with less crowds. The retail side of Toyosu fish market has many similar sushi restaurants, but this one looks decent with no queue or reservation requirements like the other more popular ones.
We ordered the Sei Hana Chirashi Don and the Sei Assorted Nigiri sushi set and a glass of cold matcha drink. The Chirashi Don comes with many fishes and seafood including prawns, scallops, toro, squids, ikura, etc on top of sushi rice ❤️. The Nigiri Set comes with 8 nigiri sushi of different topping including scallop, prawn, tuna (maguro), sea urchin (uni), conger eel, etc plus a few rolls of maki sushi. You also get miso soup as part of the set. Both dishes are great, especially if you love fresh fish / seafood on top of sushi rice ❤️. Total costs for our lunch was ¥ 8,305 (including 10% consumption tax) which is still good value for money considering the freshness, quality and portion provided.
The customer services from staff members are good as usual in Tokyo, and you can ask for English menu. You can pay with V/MC payment cards so it is good place for international customers with less access to local currency. The shop has small space, yet very neat / tidy seat...
Read moreMy wife and I visited this sushi restaurant during our late visit to Toyosu. Not realizing the market close at 3pm, we were manage to find this nice sushi restaurant. We are impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the skillfully cut with nicely presented sushi we ate there. We loved every single piece of sushi served. This sushi restaurant offered very high quality sushi that leaves good taste in our mouth.
Honestly, we had visited Micheline rated sushi restaurant in Ginza, but the taste is not really multitudes better than this one, given the cost is just a fraction of what we paid. Of course fine dining come with a set of other services, presentation, and etc besides taste. But hey this place really is the place that you can expect to get great quality sushi with fair price. ...
Read moreThis place at Toyosu is absolutely amazing and I can't believe it only took us about 20mins to get a seat on a Monday around 1pm.
It's slightly more expensive then say Sushi Dai but I felt the experience was way more enjoyable and we didn't feel rushed throughout the meal.
I got the Omakase and my wife had the 2800 yen set.
Fresh and fatty toro that just melts in your mouth as you expect.
Bontani shrimp was in season and it was the super sweet.
Uni was sweet and creamy.
All the other pieces of nigiri was full of flavour and I didn't have to dip soy sauce for any of them.
And to finish the meal the Tamago was perfect.
If you don't have time and want some delicious sushi I highly recommend...
