Was at the Toyosu Fish Market just a week ago, and shortlisted this sushi restaurant based on the good reviews. We were not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed our meal! We ordered the omakase 12 set each which has 12 pieces of sushi, a tamago and a minced tuna handroll. It also comes with a seaweed appetizer and miso soup. It’s a really great value for high quality food as compared to the prices in the neighbouring sushi restaurants. I’ve never had so many raw sushis at one go as I usually can’t stomach the taste, but here, every piece was so delicious. There was also a radish item served in the middle to help cleanse the palate before going through the rest of the sushis. The sushi chef who attended to us was very friendly, he was able to converse in Eng and explained what he was serving to us. He will make small conversations while he prepared the sushi for us, absolutely amazing and I recommend to anyone who is looking for a great omakase experience at a...
Read moreMy family and I visited Shou Toyosu Market during our trip to Tokyo, and it quickly became one of our favorite spots. The first experience was absolutely unforgettable—perfectly fresh sushi, a beautifully curated omakase, and warm, attentive service. We loved it so much that we went back again before leaving Japan.
What truly impressed us was how they managed to replicate that magic the second time. It’s rare to have such a flawless experience twice, but Shou exceeded expectations again. The fish was just as fresh, the presentation just as elegant, and the atmosphere just as welcoming.
The service was outstanding both times. The staff spoke excellent English, which made everything smooth and comfortable for us as tourists. They explained each course with care and made us feel right at home.
If you’re visiting Toyosu and want a sushi experience that combines top-tier quality with genuine hospitality, Shou is the place. Worth every yen—and...
Read moreWe had the sea urchin bowl and the deluxe set, which consisted of 12 pieces of nigiri and three smaller bowls (sea urchin/scallop/fish eggs, a crab bowl, and an egg dish). I ate a similar set back when the Tsukiji market was in full swing and remembered paying about two-thirds the price, but that was 10 years ago. The quality of the sushi is top-notch, and while the price is a bit high just for the food, the addition of watching the chef prepare it right in front of you and the overall atmosphere make it worth it.
Each nigiri was great. The fish used was quite fresh. The uni was amazing, a rich, creamy flavor with each bite. I love otoro and chutoro, and they did not disappoint. I ordered a couple of pieces afterward because they were so good. Overall, I felt the price was worth the...
