Jizo-Yu was my very first onsen experience in Kinosaki — and it turned out to be the perfect introduction. The building stands out with a large stone lantern and a small shrine dedicated to Jizō, the Bodhisattva who protects travelers and children. Many guests pause to bow before entering or after bathing, which gives the place a sacred, almost temple-like atmosphere.

The onsen itself is simple and quiet, with a large indoor bath at the center. The water is seriously hot — I could only soak for a few minutes at a time before stepping out to cool down! It may not have an outdoor view, but it offers a truly local, traditional atmosphere that feels authentic and peaceful.

Payment is cash only, so make sure to bring coins. If you're staying at a ryokan, you can use the Onsen Pass with QR code for free access.

Location-wise, it’s easy to find — just across from the only Family Mart in town, and about a 5-minute walk from Kinosaki...

Onsen Review: Jizoyu Onsen

Jizoyu Onsen offers a wonderful and relaxing experience, making it a great choice for onsen enthusiasts.

The space is impressively large, providing plenty of room to unwind without feeling crowded. The staff are very helpful, ensuring that the visit is smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

The water temperature is just right, striking a perfect balance for a comfortable soak. Another great feature is the second floor, which includes a massage chair area and a vending machine—a thoughtful addition for post-onsen relaxation.

Overall, Jizoyu Onsen provides a spacious and well-equipped environment with excellent service, making it a place worth visiting for a relaxing retreat. Highly...

Friendly older ladies at front working there :) I read beforehand about towels and either misunderstood or there is incorrect info out there. Important: Bring your own towels, one small one large. Buying towels is not expensive there but you need cash (200 yen). They provide shampoo and body soap, both have mild scents. Small ladies changing area. One smallish pool, 3 working jets for lower back massage (a few broken ones). One kiddie pool. Stoked to be very near one of the onsen,...

此是所養成的「grouping then build up route」的旅遊模式 。

Great bath and not very busy in the morning. The water was very hot though more so than other baths we went to during our stay. Everything is indoor so you won’t get the outside/inside experience. Clean and opens at 7am
