A small park with a whitish hot spring. The coolest part of this park is the large area that’s set aside for people to soak their feet in. I believe they provide towels here but unfortunately it was too packed when I came so I skipped it (but I would have wanted to since it’s really nice to soak in a hot spring during winter). One highlight is that there’s an area where people paint cats on stone. It’s a small delight! This park is one of the 7 in the Jigoku group. Not all parks are part of this group. You can buy a group ticket to see all the parks or you can buy entrance to each park individually.

After reading reviews online, discovered that this was the better “hell” to visit in beppu. Wasn’t here the last trip so we decided to check this place out. Immediately upon entering, there was a footbath to the left where one can enjoy a soak, only the feet. Walked further down and you would enter another area where the blue pool was. It was quite an awesome sight to behold in view of the steam coming off from the water. You need to be there to experienced this as photo would not be able to capture that. I took a video and do take a look.

Compare to the famous Ocean Hell, i prefer this Kamado Hell. It is more to locals and not so commercial. There is tour guide to give explaination and demo. There is also alot activities to try out such as foot bath, face steam, foot oven, hotspring water tasting and more. The hotspring egg here is also selling cheaper and u can give it a try. Actually, there is a muddy, blue and red hotspring pool here if u dont feel like going to other Beppu hells. Highly recommended.

Kamado Jigoku, or "Cooking Pot Hell," is a popular hot spring attraction in Beppu, Japan, known for its high-temperature waters reaching up to 98°C (208°F). Named after a myth involving steamed rice offerings to the Ujigami, it features mineral-rich water that has an acquired taste and an exceptionally hot foot hotplate experience. Visitors can explore the surreal landscape of bubbling ponds and steaming fumaroles, and enjoy steam-cooked snacks. 🌋😊

The staff here is really nice. From the entrance till you leave you feel welcomed. They have a few things you can experience here like a hot stone , steam on your face, sip a little of the onsen water. The staff also regularly show cool interactive stuff with the geysers. They have a place to try some onsen steamed snacks here like eggs , corn etc boiled with the hot water. They also have a ashiyu (foot onsen) . Definately recommend this place.

This is the second jigoku or hell that we visited besides the Umi Jigoku which is still better and bigger. I feel like after these 2, we've seen enough types of jigoku that we can skip visiting the rest of the hells. This one is not as big a ground as Umi Jigoku and does not have nicely landscaped yard. The hell is also pretty blue color and the steam areas for your face is kind of interesting.
