Finding vegetarian/vegan options in Kannawa can be challenging, but the restaurants offering steamed food are a good option. Note that you should either go on the earliest side of lunch or make a reservation in advance because the more popular/well-known places fill up very quickly and have hour plus waits for a table. We couldn’t get into any of the more well-known places and eventually found this shop that has a small steamed food restaurant attached to it.

They offer a steamed vegetable plate for vegetarians/vegans, plus onsen eggs and steamed pudding that comes in a cute little egg cup for those who eat eggs and dairy.

There are tons of options for meat/seafood eaters. See the attached pics for...

Their pudding is jaw droppingly amazing and it's served in a cute egg like bowl. It's super creamy and strikes the perfect sweet balance while not having any one flavour being overpowering. Perfect taste profile that's also super intricate (it's not a flat taste). Very...
