Nice place outside and inside.

Unfortunately my experience there with wine tasting wasn't that good. I decided to use the Liechtenstein adventure pass' "try two wines for free". The sommelier wasn't happy about this and said to my face that "they have now opened two bottes of wine for me for free and now they own me nothing more." Felt disrespect at that moment. (So sorry I wanted to taste your wines and buy them, hear about the background and so on 🙄). The sommelier could have asked if I wanted to try more and so make more sales. I just wanted to try the wines before purchasing and enjoy the wine but thanks to that I felt like I'm viewed cheap. Like I would have loved to try more but didn't feel welcomed to do so. As a wine lover that was sad and I'm sad about having to experience that. Really disappointed.

At the same time they were pouring wines for tasting for other customers but for me they told to open the bottle and pour is myself, which I felt a bit odd but maybe they just thought I could be trusted not to take the whole bottle? Also I was given only one glass for both wines which is a bit different than what I'm used to in wine tasting, but I don't think it ruined the wines. Other customers with multiple wines did have one glass each.

All in all I had planned to have dinner there but after this I just didn't although their restaurant has been quite well received.

In addition, they helped me taste 2 red wines, both they showed me were supposed to be on the shelf. I decided which red I liked better and then went to get it from the shelf spot he had shown me - it was white wine and not red , my fault for not reading the label but trusting the wine pointing 😂 but at least I now get to taste their white wines too.

But honestly if Hoffenkeller you think that the deal in adventure pass is rubbish and not worth it to you then just resign from the deal next time it's renewed instead of blaming the people who decide to use the deal.

Wines were good and worth buying and enjoying, value for price is good. 👍 👍

Still angry and sad about the way I...

When we arrived the Staff were getting ready for a function that was celebrating the Prince of Liechtenstein's 80th birthday and the wine they had produced for that event. The 1st Staff member told us that the wine tasting was at 10:30 am and again at 2:30 pm. The Lady in charge of the wine tasting said that she would easily accommodate us as long as we were ok with her not being with us the whole time as she was busy with the function preparations. She showed us into the tasting room and she did a fantastic job juggling her workload and accommodating our 4 person group. We tasted several white wines, and one red wine but didn't try any more reds as nobody is a fan of red wine and my personal favorite was the Ice Wine, and I don't like wine!! The cost was only 19 euros each and although I only tasted the ice wine I was not charged a tasting fee, only the three others in our group. The general consensus from our group was that all of the wines were very good and there were 2 clear winners as well as the Ice Wine so we bought a bottle of each to take with us. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend to anyone that is visiting Vaduz,...

Visiting Hofkellerei des Fürsten von Liechtenstein was truly a delightful experience! Nestled amidst the scenic vineyards of Vaduz, this winery perfectly combines royal heritage with modern winemaking excellence. The atmosphere is serene and elegant, offering a glimpse into the principality’s rich culture and refined taste.

The wine-tasting session was exceptional — each wine was beautifully presented and paired with interesting stories about its origin and process. The staff were knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about their craft, making the entire visit educational and memorable.

The location itself is breathtaking, with stunning views of the Alps and the vineyards surrounding the estate — an ideal spot for both wine lovers and photographers alike. The shop also offers a curated selection of wines and local products that make for perfect souvenirs.

Highly recommended for anyone visiting Liechtenstein — whether you’re a connoisseur or a casual traveler, Hofkellerei offers an experience that’s both luxurious...

Our visit here was a highlight of our trip to Liechtenstein and Switzerland. We walked here from central Vaduz, very easy. And we were able to walk back to town through the vineyards. Surprisingly, this place was the best value of our vacation — they were running a 2 for 1 special for Valentine’s Day, so the tasting was 12 CHF total for two people. Plus we ordered the very nice meat, fruit, and cheese board (separate charge for this fantastic board). The tastings are in the cellar, we sat at the bar. In addition to wine, we also sampled local gin and regional whiskey. To us, some of the wine was very nice, some so so. They advertise that you receive 2 glasses of wine in the tasting, volume-wise that is. We were offered and tried 7 or more wines, which seemed to be more than 2 glasses due to fairly generous pours. The good hosts were super nice and informative. The facility is nice. Wow we really had fun from start to finish, the best fun to cost ratio on our entire trip. Highly recommended!
