City Mall Shopping Centre — Attraction in Borneo

City Mall Shopping Centre in Kota Kinabalu is one of those places that may not be the biggest mall in town, but it offers a cozy, convenient, and pleasant shopping experience. What I really like about City Mall is that it strikes a perfect balance—it's not overly crowded like some of the larger malls, yet it still has everything you need under one roof.

The layout is easy to navigate, and the environment is clean and well-maintained. There are a decent variety of shops here—from local boutiques and gift shops to well-known brands and service outlets like optical shops, pharmacies, and tech repair kiosks. Whether you're looking to grab a new outfit, do a little grocery shopping at City Grocer, or just chill, City Mall covers your basics and more.

One of my favorite spots here is the food court and cafes. You can find great local eats and even bubble tea outlets like Tealive. There are also a few cozy cafés where you can relax with coffee and snacks while people-watching or doing a bit of remote work.

Parking is relatively easy compared to other malls in KK, especially during weekdays. They also have covered parking, which is a big plus during the rainy season.

Overall, City Mall is ideal for those who want a quieter, more relaxing shopping experience without the chaos of bigger malls. It feels like a neighborhood hub, and I always leave feeling satisfied. Definitely recommend checking it out, whether you're a local or just...

It is an okay size of building which contains 450+ carparks at basement and ground level. 1 main entrance , 4 small entrance. 2 back side of loading bays. Almost 2 lanes of road surrounded the building , 1 way in and out. 3 blocks of building , middle one is the largest.

far west and east building, which are for bigger restaurants, saloon , hotel, office, Gym station and school.

The middle building, is a shopping paradise.

ground floor, farmasi , anchor tenant such as CCK , massage retailer , eletronic and gadgets shop.

1st floor , imported clothes , inner wear , outer wear, shoes and bags.

2nd floor , local brand Cinema which is cheap. Cleanliness is still okay, soundproof is poor. Popular bookstore , entertainment center and japanese restaurant Azuma.

the content sounds rich ... but the size of the mall not huge. most ppl enjoy here because of the location.

My favoured time to go there...

I use to patron the kbox at city mall but the current lady at that counter customer service is horrible compared to the previous girl. Ask her how much per hour, she could'nt even tell me and point at the price sign at just said "look there". Previous lady was courteous enough just yo tell me. I bet if the price was only in the facebook she would have tell me (not even ask) to check in the Facebook instead of telling me. Its not even the fasting month. Berat kah itu mulut.

Rest of the shops I have no problem. I am a loyal patron of basic cut even when they were previously at karamusing. Bing, is a good hairstylist and im particular coz a fade cut cannot be easy adjusted. So basic cut is top notch.

So my two star is for k-box. It would be one if i have not patron...
