Not worth of money. The guide has limited knowledge. The attitude was very money making. People at ticket counter is not cordial enough to foreign tourists. We are leaving at the the end of the day so watching butterflies and insect ourselves and these organization sent someone behind us (almost felt like chasing) who was uncomfortably behind us till we leave the place as there sunset walk was about to start. We were anyways didn't have intention for sunset but found this attitude extremely cheap from their end. We actually thought of sun set walk tickets but finally didn't take it and now happy about it. Forget about showing animals there were only one carnivore plants they could show us (I think they don't jump around and you don't have to have luck to watch them like you need to have luck for watching Royal Bengal Tiger, Sunderban, India.) The structure inside was massive but unnecessary because it's too man made inside a wild beautiful forest. It doesn't look sustainable at all. Finally I must say they have horrible communication to reach this place and no worth your time if you are a foreigner. I did the mistake and I don't want people to repeat the same. Sunset of the forest was beautiful from the nearby temple which you can have a free access to and people are nice. If you like rain forest, try Taiping. It's more beautiful and wild. Taiping is the 3rd most sustainable...
Read moreOur group of 8 adults and two kids ventured to Penang Hill & Curtis Crest Treetop walk on a weekday (Thursday 2/2/23), and reading other reviews, we may be just extremely lucky to have visited on an off peak day. We drove up from our resort at Double Tree Resort Hilton Penang, and were lucky that there was hardly any queue to buy the tickets at the funicular cable car to the top, and also the actual return trip up and down the hills. It costs RM12 return for a normal lane, as we didn’t have to buy the RM40 express lane for the cable car on the day. The Curtis Creat Treetop walk was quite physical and no pram allowed so be sure that your children are capable to walk by themselves without needing to be carried on the treetop walk for safety reason. The view was truly spectacular on the day, especially with no crowd but the maximum capacity is 100+, which the staff said would not be pleasant for the tourists so they normally restrict to 40+ max each time. A truly pleasant visit if you go on a nice day with...
