As of my last update in November 2023, I'll provide a general review of Sunway Big Box Hotel based on available information. Please note that there might have been changes or developments since then.

Sunway Big Box Hotel, situated in the vibrant city of Sunway, Malaysia, offers an inviting stay that combines convenience and comfort. Here's an overview:

Location: Conveniently located within the Sunway City precinct, the hotel enjoys proximity to various attractions, including Sunway Big Box retail, and nearby LegoLand. The strategic location is ideal for leisure with the vehicle.

Accommodation: The hotel features contemporary rooms equipped with modern amenities, offering a comfortable retreat after a day of exploration or work. The rooms are designed to be functional, providing a cozy ambiance for guests.

Facilities: Sunway Big Box Hotel offers a range of facilities to enhance guests' experiences. This includes a fitness center for those looking to maintain their workout routine, meeting rooms suitable for business gatherings, and a variety of dining options within the vicinity. The swimming pool is nothing fancy for the kids. Hope to have one in the future. Water-play maybe.

Service: Reviews often highlight the hotel staff's friendliness and professionalism. Guests appreciate the attentive service and assistance provided by the accommodating staff members.

Cleanliness and Maintenance: Cleanliness is a crucial aspect for guests, and the hotel generally maintains a good standard in this regard. The rooms and common areas are well-kept, contributing to a pleasant stay. Just an add-on, the pillow has a strange smell.

Value for Money: The hotel tends to offer competitive rates for the quality of accommodation and services provided, making it an attractive option for travelers seeking affordability without compromising comfort.

Before booking, it's recommended to check for the most recent reviews and updates regarding the hotel's services, amenities, and any potential changes in policies or facilities, as circumstances and offerings may have evolved since my last update.

Overall, Sunway Big Box Hotel tends to offer a comfortable stay with its convenient location, family-friendly service, and reasonable pricing, making it a suitable choice for various types of travelers visiting the...

Went there with kinda great expectations but the mall was quite deserted when I went there, although it was around 2 pm (just after lunch time). It has potential though, a good mix of shops and restaurants though not many. The Grab car dropped me in front of the Sunway Hotel and I was wondering whether to go left or right, both sides seemed to extend so far away. I wanted to visit BookXcess. I ended up going towards the opposite side of the hotel as there seemed to be an entrance compared to the other side. I walked and walked. Place was deserted. Entrances to shops were vague, turns out the main entrances to some of the shops aren't clearly defined. There are doors but locked. I walked to the end, and yes, there was a main entrance. Well, not too many shops and as I mentioned earlier, restaurants were kinda empty. Went one floor up and couldn't find the bookstore. Couldn't find a directory or signage and ended up asking one of the cleaners. Apparently it's on the other side, so I had to walk back to the other entrance, and saw an escalator that had a short bridge connecting to the other side. It was warm and humid. Maybe I should just walked straight downstairs, so much nearer.

And then it turned out the BookXcess was on the other end, soooooo far away. With so much hype, turns out the showcase area, the dazzling signature golden shelves look for this JB branch was just a small portion of the bookstore. I wanted to take photos etc but there was a signage saying I must spend minimum RM200 or something if I wanted to do so. Hey I am giving you free publicity, BookXcess. Fine. I can't do fancy shots. Place was kinda quiet, not many visitors. The cafe inside the bookstore had also closed down. Still, I purchased a book.

Went out, there's a supermarket there but other than that and a home decor shop plus a chinese restaurant, there wasn't much to attract me at all, and I was thinking I should leave. But fortunately, there was a tiny cafe at the side, and I decided to stop by for tea. That's my...

Dear Readers,

This is going to be a long and sincere review. Yesterday, I was at the mall. I live nearby and I've been going to Sunway Big Box since it's opening. I never had any problem with this mall. I've always like the facilites. The toilets are clean, it's always spacious, the ventilation is good. Also, the concept of Green City really amazes me.

Back to my story, basically, I lost my phone. I misplaced my phone in one of the toilets. And when my friend called the number, a man answered the phone telling that it's his phone and been buying it since a year ago. I was really upset because he said that. I also admit that it's my fault for being careless.

So, I informed one of the guard in Padini, and he asked help from his colleagues. AND THEN, THE GUARDS TOLD EVERYONE ON THE WALKIE-TALKIE ABOUT MY MISSING PHONE DESPITE THE LANGUAGE BARRIER WE HAVE. Then, we also used Find My iPhone with the help of the management. Ti my surprise, ALL OF THE MANAGEMENT TEAM went down from the office just to help me find my iPhone. It's so touching because this phone is my first ever phone that I bought with my own money. I felt so guilty because I used their time just because of my careless mistake.

When I found my phone, I apologized many times. The staffs were not mad at all. They tried so hard to find the phone. I thanked them many times and all they said "TAKPE AKAK, YANG PENTING DAH JUMPA" 😭😭

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO ALL THE STAFFS, THE GUARDS AND EVERYONE INVOLVED. I hope your pillow is soft, your future will be good and you're always blessed. Thank you,...

Over the past few weeks, I visited Sunway Big Box Mall and noticed a floor access panel that was marked only with hazard tape, without any additional protective cover or barrier. This poses a potential trip hazard for customers, especially those who may not notice the marking, such as individuals using wheelchairs. I even witnessed an incident where a wheelchair tripped over this hazard. I kindly request that this issue be addressed promptly to prevent any further accidents. Possible solutions could include installing a proper cover, adding clear warning signage, or placing a temporary barrier for better safety.

Visited Sunway Big Box recently and found it to be quite spacious with plenty of parking, which is a plus. However, the mall didn’t really cater to my needs — there weren’t many shops that appealed to me, and most of the restaurants were lesser-known brands. The overall atmosphere felt rather plain despite the size of the place. It seems like many visitors are mainly there to settle their VEP and RFID tags rather than for shopping or dining. Decent for a quick stop, but not a mall I’d go out of my way for.
