Ayam Penyet Best @ Sunway Big Box — Restaurant in Iskandar Puteri

Dumbfoundedly bad. The sup buntut was a pool of salt water with stale tough as rubber pieces of what looks like oxtail, with small bits of carrots floating in the murky bowl of soup. The soto bee hoon was only slightly less horrible. The chicken in the rendang had a coldness in the meat as it was not fully thawed from the fridge before the rendang gravy was poured over. The gravy was the only saving grace which we ended up just having with the rice. Service fortunately was attentive, but what then? Whoever owns this joint, please go see what is happening in your kitchen. Food tasted as if your dishwashers were the ones...

I always wondering why this outlet always empty and now I know why. The food taste sooooo bad 👎. Ordered Ayam Gepuk Merapi but the sambal is not spicy at all, tasteless, kedekut sambal, tak sedap and food served is cold. The chicken, rice and all veges is cold make me lose my appetite. Nasi lembik and this the worst Ayam Gepuk i ever taste. Kitchen crew not even trying to reheat the chicken at least and serve customer just like that??! Staff always playing phone even at the cashier. Not recommend this place...

The restaurant offers a variety of menu choices. I had the lele penyet while my friends tried the ayam penyet and ayam gepuk. One thing I didn’t quite get was why the penyet set didn’t come with rice?? We had to add RM2.50 for each rice 😭 Most places usually include rice with their penyet dishes.

The taste was okay for me, but their sambal penyet was quite good! The portion size was just nice, not too big...
