This could very well be the best park in the whole Greater KL area. Toilets are decent, though it can get dirty during the busy hours/days and I have never seen any cleaners around, so go before coming especially you ladies :) I don't advise entering the hiking trails here unless you are very fit and have the proper shoes and gear. Bring along a good pair of noise cancelling headphones, as the mosque is right next to the park, and there can be a lot of noisy kids sometimes. The paths used to be mostly in slightly softer tarmac, but as usual, all the morons in charge of this in Malaysia seem to be changing them to concrete and other hard materials. These are really bad on the knees(knee-guards recommended), so you have no choice but to get shoes and insoles with the maximum amount of cushioning and protection - even then, I wouldn't jog on these hard surfaces.
The lighting/wiring also doesn't seem to have been maintained well, and many sections have no lights once it gets darker in the evening, or early in the morning, so bring along some small led torch lights, along with some anti-mosquito ointment and always wear long track pants at these times. I like how all the entrances are closed when it is still dark in the morning or as it gets darker in the evening, except for the one next to the small car park, and the security guy stands there observing more closely at these times. I have also seen a security guy on motorcycle circling the park during the evening when it got darker.
Some section of the park have suffered weather damage and you should also supervise your kids at all times and keep your eyes open and not day dream as you move about. Slight renovation and refurbishing work was going on the last time I was here. I have seen some activities going on in the early morning while it was still a bit dark, Thai Chi and maybe line dancing among others, you could probably join them if interested. I heard cars may have been towed away or fined when parked outside of the free small parking zone, in no parking zones with yellow lines, especially during weekdays, so car pooling here on those days is highly recommended.
On a related note, once you have finished your walk in the early morning, you can find good coffee and tea at a nearby Kopitiam corner shop in Taman Tun, where you will usually bump into walkers from the park yet again. I'll add a review for that shop soon. Their food is overall pretty good as well - always a lot...

Read morePLEASE PAY EXTRA CAREFUL TO THE MONKEYSSSS! They will snatched away your food!
We put food and things inside a trolley. The monkeys came and threatened my kids. Then monkey push the trolley to the side and took away our pandan swiss rolls. Monkeys opened the packaging and ate it. Afterwards monkeys still follow us to our picnic site. They still want to snatched more foods from us after tasted the yummy swiss rolls. We have to find a big stick to scare the away. Monkeys tried to challenge us by showing their teeth. Monkeys tried few attempts to attack us. We have no intention to hurt them. Thus I scared them away by hit the stick to the trunk of the tree and use our trolley to threaten the monkeys then only they left.
Before that, we were quite enjoying at this park. Catching fish with fishing net and release back before we go back. Got many turtles as well. We also able to see Komodo Lizards are crawling around or swimming in the pond.
Love the natural fresh air and environment. Many families will come over here to have a picnic, jogging or hiking.
Here also have few outdoor exercise facilities. Quite clean even though just got one Roro bin there. Quite crowded every morning. Got few stalls at outside selling foods and drinks. Got cakes and vegetables plus fruits as well.
Will pay a visit again even though the monkeys here quite naughty. They always disturb the kids especially if the kids hold the food. Sometimes they also do not scare about adults. So be prepare a stick beside you whenever you want to come over here.
Limited parking slots. Most of the visitor will park at outside...
