UPDATE: After writing this review, a representative from Hair Quarters reached out, apologised and offered a refund and more.

I am very thankful for the professionalism found in the company and the way they've handled the situation. It goes to show that my experience was limited to only the stylist that cut my hair, and does not reflect the company itself.

As such, I have changed the rating from 2 stars to 4, as I believe customer service and mitigating problems (even though they didn't have to) is really important in any company.

So, if you're reading this, then all I can say is choose the right stylist, but the establishment itself has many many good qualities!

I myself MAY go back one day, i mean, it is a nice place and very convenient and professional (that's the reason I stopped by in the first place). Asked for a trim, shave the sides and lighten the top but keep the length of the top as much as possible.

What I got was an uneven mess with half of my hair full of volume and the other half flat AF.

Then. I have to pay double what I do with someone who actually listens and...

The only reason this place has 5 star reviews is because they give you a 10% discount if you write them a 5 star review.

Went there to wash and style my hair into a simple bun. The stylist didn’t seem confident from the start but assured she could do it. I requested for a low bun (with reference) but she did it high at first till I reminded her. Then she had so much trouble putting my hair into a bun, which I think is quite a basic/ simple style that any stylist should know to do. 1.5 hours later, finally done— nowhere near what I wanted or close to the reference pic I gave. Then have the cheek to charge me RM140!!! That’s way overpriced for simple wash and style. What more after doing such a poor job at it.

It would’ve been less frustrating if the salon had been honest about not having a proper stylist to do the job. Or the stylist herself suggesting a different style she’s more comfortable in doing. Obviously just trying to charge customers where they can without having properly trained stylists to perform the...

I wanted to cut my hair and I told the hair stylist that I wanted it layered with a shorter fringe. She spent 5 mins cutting my hair with barely any change and with very little finesse, just a shorter fringe. She then told me that I should wash my hair as it was oily but I had just washed my hair a few hours prior, but I said okay anyway. After a very inexperienced girl washed my hair (she barely used any force which is unlike a professional wash and was not satisfying at all), I had asked the stylist to layer my hair a little bit more as it had looked the same as when I walked in, she proceeded to just puff up my hair with her hands (she was also coughing badly) and that was it. I guess she didn’t understand me? Overall a very bad wash and blow that coated me RM160. Will not come back again!
