I was extremely disappointed and upset with the service of the cafe staff including the 2 Chinese male "persons in charge"! I bought a whole cake at 12.08pm for RM160, the staff said to give them a bit of time as they need to wait for the cake to set. When I asked for 3 big and 1 small candles, the staff replied they only give "one" free candle, if I want more need to pay. So I just accepted one candle. Later the staff gave me the cake and she didn't say anything about special requirements on holding the cake on the way back. So I left the shop and put the cake on my back car seat as usual which i have done on many occasions. When I got back to my place, I was shocked to see the cake had melted for only about 25 minute journey. So I immediately drove another 25min back to Cado café to complain. The Malay staff asked me when I put the cake in the car? I said as usual at the seat, she replied I should have others hand holding the cake because she knew I was accompanied by somebody. I said it's not because of where I put the cake, it's because your cake melted. If the cake is not ready to sell, you should at least let us know. Then the other Chinese staff said they would change a new cake for me but need to hold the cake on the journey back to Tanah Ratan. I inquired can they guarantee the cake will not melt if I did as they requested. She was unable to answer and asked me to wait, then she went inside the kitchen. Later the other Malay staff said the person in charge is coming, at that time I had waited for 20 minutes already. Later the first male person in charge asked me for a photo of the melted cake, I said I didn't take any photo since I brought the cake here. Then the second male person in charge talked to me, I explained the situation but he wasn't interested in listening to me and insisted that I listen to him, how they make the cake, how they deliver 30 cakes from Cameron Highland to Penang and the cakes weren't melted blah blah blah. So I asked him if it is now your cafe policy that doesn't want to take responsibility to compensate me, he said no. Because they sold the cake to me in finished form and ok, once I left the cafe' it was none of their business and it is the sole responsibility of the consumer which is me. So there was no guarantee of the cake being in good shape and presentable to eat after leave shop! I was so upset about the way they handled this matter and I said RM160 is not a big deal to me, I left the mess of a cake at the cafe and left . To be honest, I cannot accept this response and attitude to push all the blame to the customer knowing 1) the cake is not set 2) staff didn't inform the customer about special requirements for handling the cake 3) is it every time they sell whole cake there must be 2 people (one person driving the car and the other person holding the cake! After this incident, I will never go back to this Cado cafe' with such poor...
Read moreThe location is very bad. As it is beside smelly longkang, you will smell the bad odor all the time, not to mention that there will be more than 5 flies surrounding you as you are eating — plus they won’t move when you want to get rid of them. I know that they are aware about it, but no action were taken, such as odor refresher, fly catcher, eg. Worst experience EVER.
The price and the food quality aren’t matched. It is more than RM20 for mostly everything, but the taste and food material used were way more worse than a RM10 quality.
Scone: Normal with almost no difference in every flavor. We ordered all. Dry and not fragrant.
Pancake: DRY. A very high price for cheap ice cream on top of pancake with chocolate drizzle and a few pieces of small strawberries. Not to mention that they forgot to add blueberries to our portion. They took good pictures but apparently most dishes don’t look like that and they are SMALL.
Banana pie actually quite ok, would be better if can lessen the water on the banana puree inside, as it make the pie too mashy and soft.
Egg Benedict. Egg with cheap cheese drizzle on top, with a slide of unmelted cheese and very thin smoked salmon, on top of a very thick and dry bread. Nothing more. Worst combination of taste.
Aglio olio: normal, expensive, nothing to say, so so.
No cutlery were provided for desert. Do you expect us to eat with bare hand??? You have to ask for it yourselves.
Also it will be a little too noisy, not in the aspect of crowd. It is about loud bgm which is not a cafe-type of music, which doesn’t suite the atmosphere of your cafe. Also it has road in front, has man-made fountain noice beside, it is like the worst symphony ever.
I sincerely hope they can consider about harmonies of all things, unmatched with everything lower than...

From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by a charming setting that includes both indoor and outdoor seating areas surrounded by greenery and thoughtful decorations.
Food and Drinks We tried their strawberry cake and mango cake, both of which were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly sweet. Alongside, we enjoyed an excellent selection of coffee—iced latte, iced Americano, and hot Americano. The coffee was rich, aromatic, and expertly prepared, pairing wonderfully with the cakes.
