Found this restaurant from Google Map, so we decided to give it a try. We had simple dishes here. We ordered 2 white rice, seafood tomyam for 2 pax, telur dadar for 1 pax, mixed veggies, nasi goreng kampung and nasi goreng pattaya. The fried rice were good... tomyam seafood was so-so, the prawns were not fresh at all, but squids were ok. Mixed veggie was not bad. But the telur dadar....hmmm look at the picture and describe it yourself...hahaha.. they need to change the oil, i guess?
There was this notice posted on the entrance informing food might be delayed due to insufficient staff and patrons are reminded to expect food to be delivered after 30 minutes. So, we were expecting for slow service, but to our surprise, we ordered at 6.30pm and food were served within 10 minutes! Since we had simple dishes by 7.00pm we already made our way out from the restaurant. Overall food were okay. Tomyam i think I had better in other place, but here ok-lah....Service was good. Staff were friendly and helpful too. Do note that the restaurant is always full and...
Read moreThis place is a MUST-GO if you’re in Cameron Highlands. The place is clean, it has parking spots available in and around the restaurant, and the service is prompt. Best of all, the food is delicious and generous.
My husband had a plate of nasi goreng kampung. To me, it was the highlight of the evening. So good! One of the best nasi goreng kampung I’ve ever had. Wished I ordered that for myself!
I ordered a plate of kuey teow kungfu. It was good but not the best. Though, the vegetables were crisp, fresh and generous. I would never get that amount of veges in KL!
We also shared some sotong goreng tepung (recommended) and a bowl of tomyam. Something about tomyam in the highlands - it’s just so comforting in that chilly weather.
All in all, we really enjoyed our dinner there. It was cozy and memorable. Though, there was quite a crowd even on a Thursday night. Says a lot about how popular this restaurant is!
Price wise, it was cheap. We spent RM40 for two main dishes, tomyam, sotong and two beverages. Can’t get this...
Read moreThe Good :- Highly recommended. Food portions were very good, can share if you think it's too much. Main dishes we ordered: Nasi Goreng Biasa Rm 7 (4/5) Nasi Goreng Cina Rm 7 (4/5) Steamed Barramundi/Siakap, kinda like pla kapong neung manao, delicious Rm 50 (5/5) Battered Deep Fried Shrimp Rm 9.50 (3.5/5) an assortment of drinks, and other snacks.
The total cost for 3 people is under Rm 100 which is quite affordable considering it's Cameron Highlands.
Not so good :- Limited parking and tables when we came (around 8.30pm) Most customers have to fight for tables due to limited tables there. The restaurant staff did not even try to ask if we waited too long/helped to look for seats. No card payments. Only...
