First time camping in this campsite, first impressions not that good. In the early of March, I had booked the campsite for mid of April and 4 tents. When we reached the campsite, it’s full of peoples, I understood it’s because of weekends. The problem is , there is no place for us to build our tent. When the time I make call to this campsite, I had told them , we have 4 tents in total. I asked the staff to check back the booking, he said he didn’t make record about this. At the end, he pointed a small area on a slot for us, that could only fit in 3 tents. We felt uncomfortable with this arrangement, but we have prepared all of our camping tools and the mood for the weekend. We can only choose to stay. Luckily, there was a group people come to clean up their tents, then only we managed to fit in our last tent. One of them told that, he and his family rent the tents in the campsite and booked the slot for 3D2N, but heavy rain in last night, water leaked into the tents, ruin their tent, they decided to go back early.
For me, the “like” for this campsite: The campsite environment is good. Electricity and tap water is available Surau and toilet is available Staff will clean the rubbishes and environment BBQ area is provided
“Bad” for this campsite: The management of the staff is bad! The campsite have limitation for tents, but the staff didn’t make the booking well, even though the place is full, he still let people in and build tents. Be aware if you are going to rent a tent from them, if heavy rain, water might leaks into the tent. This is experienced from the family. I not sure whether they will clean the toilet or not, I stayed for 3days, but the toilet not cleaned.
Overall, this campsite is good, I will go for second time also just the management...
Read moreThanks to our friend who managed to book this campsite after trying several times. It's situated about 10 minutes drive from the hustle and bustle of Cameron Highland, and in our opinion a nicely designed camp area.
It has 2 tiers, lower tier is accessible using wheel barrow or your own trolley cart. To reach the upper tier you'll need to climb the stairs at the end of the cart path.
The campsite has several zones which may suit for small group (6-8ppl) to huge group (10-20ppl), but how it is allocated I don't have the specifics.
Plus points: Raised wooden platform, less prone of flooding and messy muddy splash, easy to setup flysheet and tent using only fish pegs Surrounded by tall trees, some are incorporated inside the platform area, cooling and protection from wind and noise 🌴 Has a small stream going across the lower part working as another cooling feature, and kids love playing in the sandy portion Ample washing area and bbq pits are built on each tier ❤️🔥 Power points are available if you bring your own extension cord Shelters are built on each tier for chilling out 🛖 Toilets are reasonably clean and no long queues issue 🚽 Super cold climate, no sweat at all after setting up everything
Anything else? During our camp, temperature dropped to 14 deg C, so bring ample warm clothing if you're afraid of cold 🥶 We could drive and park at the entrance for a short while to load and unload our stuff, but my suggestion is try to reduce your items, the walk to upper tier can be quite strenuous Sometimes you'll see strangers visiting the site (day and night), turns out they are intrigued by this beautiful campsite and came in to take...
Read moreThis place really needs some fixing up. That wooden platform near the entrance? It's pretty banged up, with parts where they've had to put wood boards to cover holes. Plus, it makes a really loud creaking sound when you walk on it. I actually saw a lady trip because her leg fell right through a gap between the planks while she was carrying stuff. Luckily, she was okay! So, just be careful when you're walking on that wood. Aside from that, two of the ladies' washrooms weren't working, and there's definitely mold in the hot water shower room that needs a good clean. When I visited, their water pump had been out for three days, so they were actually using river water for washing and cleaning – bit of a shock! Good thing the normal water supply came back on in the evening. Honestly, the vibe of the place is still good, but it really needs more attention to keep things maintained. I heard they're planning to privatize it and even did a public survey for feedback, which is cool. Hopefully, that means they'll start upgrading the service and quality. It's a nice spot overall, especially with the perfect weather at night, even if it gets hot...
