Our very first time. Visited on monday 22nd of may 2023. There are few eateries around and free parking is quite limited. U want easy and nearby parking then get ready to pay. But the view and environment so nice and chilly you wont mind walking.
We arrived at noon. Nice place, nice view but my only complaint is the fly buzzing around my table area.
Service was great. Now the food. We ordered the scones set, nasi lemak with strawberry sambal and char kuey teow. Tea in a pot and teh tarik.
I think the highlight would be the scones and their strawberry ice cream. Its a 4/5 scones for me. Light and fluffy with mild taste of sweetness. And buttery too. Its not dry which is good. Add bit of strawberry jam and cream to tone down the jam sweetness. Perfect with nice hot tea. The teh tarik is not ur usual mamak kind. Its not as rich and sweet as the mamak one. Just a nice flavour of tea and sweetness. 4/5 teh tarik for me.
The strawberry ice cream was good. Its soft, its sweet it taste like how we imagine a strawberry would taste like, its creamy and its not too icy just scoop it with small spoon and u get to enjoy the goodness of what cameron strawberry has to offer. Easy 5/5.
Char kuey teow was a 3.5 out of 5. For some reason It taste more like mi kari. A bit spicy. Less smoky. It feels like something was missing. It tasted nice but not what i would recommend.
The nasi lemak. 3/5. For the rice. A bit of fragrant from the nasi lemak. But it stops there. Lack of lemak flavour. Almost like the usual rice. But its not dry. The strawberry sambal. Im not familiar with how strawberry sambal should taste. But the addition of strawberry add some sweetness to the sambal. A bit sour too and overall they taste not too spicy and bit sweet. For some reason it reminds me of bottled chilli sauce due to its texture and sweet taste. Other part of the nasi lemak like crispy chicken, papadom, anchovies etc were good.
3.5/5...
Read moreVisited on a Saturday — got queue number 72, and at that time they were only serving number 46. What made me a bit frustrated was seeing so many empty tables left unused for a long time, sometimes more than 30 minutes, while the waiting area was packed and uncomfortable.(Yang bt geram nya bila kita nampak byk tempat duduk kosong lama xada org duduk tp yg dok tunggu giliran punya lah sesak. Meja tu bole kosong lebih 30 minit. Xtau la nape biar lama kosong. Tp leas tu dorg panggil nombor sekali harung 4-6 nombor giliran. Tp sayang lah meja tu kosng lama, ptut dh bole bg org duduk dan order, drpd hold meja kosong 4-6 baru nk panggil no giliran tu sekali jalan. Bagi lah staff walkie talkie senang communication. Staff nmpk org dh settle makan, bole dh bg cue kemas meja, bole cue minta announce next nombor giliran masuk duduk. Geram tau tgk meja byk kosong lama xdipanggil org duduk! I’m not sure why they kept the tables empty so long. Later on, they suddenly called 4–6 numbers at once, which shows those tables could’ve been used earlier instead of being held. It would help a lot if staff had walkie-talkies or better coordination — once a table is cleared, they could immediately call the next number.
After waiting about 1 hour 20 minutes, finally got a seat — Alhamdulillah, the view was beautiful! 🌿
If you’re coming with small kids, make sure they’ve eaten or have snacks, because the wait can be long (and little ones can’t appreciate the “viral café vibes” the way adults do 😅).
Food-wise: • Scone set with drink (RM26) – quite worth it for the view and atmosphere, though honestly, you can find better-tasting scones elsewhere. • Curry Mee – delicious! • Service system – needs improvement.
In short: ☕ Come for the vibes & view, 😋 Stay for the curry mee, 🧘♀️ Bring lots of patience, 🧥 And maybe a warm jacket — it gets chilly if you’re waiting hungry...
Read moreMost of people said the place nice and taste food. But sorry not for us. We went during weekdays to join the hype and try the foods. Unfortunately, we experienced bad time and quite upset with KHM. Here some review for the food:
For me nasi lemak is quite okay, chicken crunchy and still hot by time the order arrived at table but sambal is too sweet for me. Portion just nice for a lady and kids but not for a guy. Price RM14
Scone taste good, i can give 9/10.
Review for place and staff;
Place was so nice but not friendly to elderly. You can drive the car to the top to drop your parents, but IF the boss or staff car does not park inside. Otherwise, need to climb up the hill or upstair.
Lady Staff at front counter (the first one you see once you arrive) are not friendly and helpsless. I know you already attached the notice so people can read and find their table and continue to order by scan qr at each table. However imagine if the guest is some elderly or someone that unable to read or might be deaf or mute or totally blind? Your staff not even welcoming nor to guide guest to look for the table ! Oh my goodness !! Come on girl, dont gedik² at front counter and do nothing. Dont let people come and navigate the things on their own.
This is for owner especially - please take some action to reduce the flies! Its annoyying that you cannot eat peacefully and have to fight with tons of flies! Euwwww!
Maybe not my luck during our visit but i dont have any intention to repeat this place nor promoting it to my family and friends. Never ! If you guys wanna experience the joyful of food taste and join the hype, please go visit and create your moment like others. Not for me. Enough for the first and...
