Trail 4
Started following the brook upstream immediately from Pine Century Resort. The small trail along the brook was not kept well. There was a big collapsed trunk on the track. Walked to Parit Falls with no difficulty.
I can imagine this place to be so beautiful but the brook is littered with plastic bags and bottles.
I managed to speak to a Pakcik from the Parks and Forestry Department. He was mowing down some shrubs so visitors will get a better view of the river.
Also managed to speak to some staff from the Cameron Highlands Montane Park(CHIMPS) . This was work in progress. Their objective was the bring some higher altitude plants from above 800m down into the park so visitors can view them. From the front, they had a small collection of Nepenthes plants.
I left through from the main road which led me to Kampung Sedia.

We entered from the forestry office end of the trail. On the right hand side after the entrance behind a kind of picnic area. Exit is around a campsite, then up a paved drive and through an unlocked car gate at the top. Both places open at 8am.
The tail is paved all the way and mostly flat with some steps at the end to cross the river. You can see a small waterfall and the river. Good walk for kids or family.
Exiting through the campsite seems to be questionable and it might be safe to walk out and back from the forestry office.
A nice place...
Read moreThe walk through the forest was beautiful as was the driving, however upon reaching the parking lot, the playground and connecting amenities are derelict. The place looked abandoned and there was a lot of rubbish strewn every where. We walked to the bridge and the falls and were sorely disappointed to find the water was not clear, nor was it a high waterfall. The worst part was that the river was incredibly polluted and full of plastic bottles. The surrounding banks had a lot of garbage built up. It was a tradgedy that the place was not maintained and that the residents upstream, tourists would throw so much into the river. I really hope this is cleaned up as the site has a lot of potential for...
