I saw some reviews and pictures of the place on Google, and they look amazing. But once on the ground, it can be observed that the place is not as great. On arrival, a group of 11 of us were greeted by the sweet couple who runs the place. There are three bedrooms and 8 of us are placed in the rooms with beds and three others are given mattresses and pillows and sleep in the living area, arrangement by ourselves. The home is modestly big and the organizer of my group chooses this place as it allows cooking. I am not really one into cooking during travel, but relented as this group are all mutual friends. I had the room with one big bed and share with another friend. The windows are full of dust, the ceiling has water spots all over them. The walls are in a dilapidated state. And the toilet is really basic with a hot shower and not much else. There is not even a towel rack or hanger in the toilet, making it inconvenient for us. The pipe attached to the sink is leaking while the water left after showers do not drained and left a puddle in the toilet. It was disgusting. The place is really basic and old. We stayed there for three nights and we kept it clean ourselves. The owner provides us with garbage bags and brooms. The kitchen is outside which is great as we can cook and eat outside in the garden. We did some barbeque on the first night and it was a great night outdoors. Overall, it is not a comfortable stay for me here. There ara many other homestays around the area that are in better condition such as the accomodations at the Tiny Boutique, just to name one that we have visited. And therecis no wifi and tv reception is very bad. I hope the owners clean the place up, paint the walls, take care of the leakages and drainage in the toilets to ensure a good stay for...
Read morePros: 1. The house is located at one of the dead end so the road is not busy.
The house is next to the KHM Strawberries & Jams which my wife and I just walked for our morning coffee and scones.
The house is really spacious, and can fit 7-8 adults comfortably with it's 3 rooms. Each room is provided with nice, thick blanket for the cold, chilly nights.
Every rooms have their own bathroom with of course; water heater.
You can fit in 2 MPVs in the porch.
Cons: 1. No towels, so better bring along your own towels.
The sink and kitchen is outdoor, probably as we didn't use it throughout our stay.
As a conclusion, it's a nice homestay for you and your family to have a good night sleep. Hope everyone else will enjoy the stay...
