Didn’t know my son was going to the TCG until I saw the lovely signboard as we passed by. Greeted by a friendly lady who made us feel comfortable and welcomed us to the Garden. She introduced us to the various plants and was knowledgeable about a number of potted herbs along a walkway. She said some Singaporeans liked to buy herbal plants as the leaves can be boiled to make a tea.
And later there was Mrs Tan who walked us thru some of the plants in her Garden. I was attracted to one called Tsu Pu Dao (Jaboticaba - Brazil). If I remembered correctly, she said it was planted from a seedling ten years ago. So I must have it and bought it! Mrs Tan was so kind to help transfer it to a lovely glazed claypot and added additional soil (not really soil but something else, a kind of mixture, which I know not about) to it. She also helped wrap the plant so well that it survived in the boot for a ten hour drive to sg.

Read moreSuch a lovely place! The garden is owned by a lovely 70 year old local lady. Shes been working on the garden for over 30 years. There are a lot of beautiful and colorful flowers! A lot of hard work and passion! When we arrived she met us with a big smile! She gave us a tour around the garden, and told us about all the different flowers and plants. She also told us about the japanese tea she makes, called «ashitaba». A tea known to be very good for your health. She’s been drinking it for years herself. Its free to visit the garden and she does not expect anything in return. She will, however, be very grateful if you want to support her and her business. You can buy the tasty tea, or beautiful flowers and plants you find around the garden. I recommend this place a lot! Thank you Tan for your...
Read moreWent to walk around the area. It's a lot more smaller today as the owner informed me that half of the garden was taken to build more buildings, constructions are around this small garden. Overall, I think it'd be nice to visit this place as she took care of it alone. Some plants are sold here, no fees, very friendly owner. Guided me and my friends inside the Garden and talked a lot about plants. She have Osmanthus, Anthurium, Camelias, Orchid, Airplants and a lot of other plants around there. Might have to be carefull as there are mosquitoes there too! Parking can be parked anywhere as long as we don't disturb...
