Of all the curries available in the market, the mildest ie. not spicy at all one will be Japanese curry, something which all the young brats can agree on. During one of our dinner in Paramount, I had already spotted this brightly-painted yellow shop with the obvious give-away name.

The menu is rather straight forward + fast service crews. I like the fact that one can upgrade to a set meal for as low as RM5 and choose 2 items - soup, drink, sides and/or dessert. The miso soup & tamagoyaki that I chose were satisfying.

There are 2 types of curry available - the original or spicy black curry (I assumed that they used charcoal to get the colour)

◾48 Hours Tonkatsu Curry Rice - with the choice of original curry or spicy black curry surrounding the 2-days miso-aged premium pork loin deep fried to perfection on top of a bed of rice. Wonderfully crispy batter and tender meat. ◾(A la carte) 48 Hours Tonkatsu - 2 days miso-aged premium pork loin deep fried to perfection which I ordered separate spicy black curry to try. Spicier than regular one but still wouldn't make me grabbing a glass of water right away. Interesting! ◾Omelette - the cheapest protein a human can find here. ◾Kitsune Udon - seasoned fried tofu with clear style broth udon suited those who didn't want thick, filling curry.

With the sign "The Best Japanese Curry in Town" I'm not sure if I can agree with them, but definitely one of the better ones around...

Came here after trying their sister restaurants next door, hoping to taste whether they live up to their 'Best Japanese Curry in Town' claim.

We ordered the 48 hours Tonkatsu Curry Rice with Original Curry + set and Tori Hambagu Curry Rice with Original Curry ala carte. For the set, you are provided category options which you are required to choose 2 that may be free or with added costs, do read properly as it could be rather confusing.

When the food arrived, we were surprised by the portion, as it definitely did not look enough. Taste wise the curry was fragrant and authentic, definitely not the usual singular sweetness only kinda curry, and most importantly you do not feel 'jelak' like others which is really great. Overall the curry feels really homey and warms the tummy just right!

The 48 hours Tonkatsu Pork is really amaijing!! Definitely worth a try as the pork is succulent despite fried and so well balanced in terms of texture, most importantly the juiciness is intact! The Tori Hambagu which is chicken burger patty though simple but it gave enough chew to go really well with the curry, also a must try if you're a chicken burger lover!

Definitely worth to visit at least once but I felt their curry goes better with rice, and also their curry udon is on the high side in terms of pricing overall. Do they live up to their claim? Well it's time to find...

This used to a be go-to place for great comfort food and warm hospitality. But now, safe to say we will not be setting foot back here.

The curry lacks flavour, depth, and life. The supposedly 48hr marination on the pork might as well just be words on paper. I have known of commis who can hit a 2hr marination out of the park. The breading on the cutlet was as uneven as Malaysian roads. The croquettes, an unseasoned boiled potato would have tasted better than this. The tamago was cold, right out of the chiller. And an extra RM5 for omelette as thin as cellophane? And please, do not serve your diners oxidized, spotted vegetables - the edamame needs help. And the cherry on top of this heartbreaking meal has to be the unconsidered touch of a wilted watercress sprig, colours for colours' sake. Springonions would have made better sense. Well, at least there's brown rice?

Do I even want to start on the feet dragging service that was mediocrity at best? You have already reduced your human interaction to scanning a QR, at least walk with some energy in your steps. Bright happy colours on your walls won't bring life back to what was once great, if you don't care. I hope things...
