Visited Muzium Sejarah Daerah Kuala Selangor and was pleasantly surprised by how much history is packed into this modest-sized museum. It gives a great overview of the district's heritage — from the Sultanate era, local rulers, early settlements, to colonial influences and important battles.
The museum is well-maintained, and the exhibits are presented in both Bahasa Malaysia and English, making it easy to follow. You’ll find old maps, artifacts, traditional weapons, and write-ups about key historical figures from the area. It's a great way to appreciate the historical significance of Kuala Selangor beyond just being a firefly destination.
The best part? It’s located near Bukit Melawati, so you can combine your visit with the lighthouse, canons, and panoramic views from the hill.
Definitely recommended for those who enjoy history, culture, or just want to learn more about the roots of Selangor. The entrance fee is RM 3 per person and it is for both museum (this one with Museum of Traditional Games), peaceful environment, and perfect for a short...
