OYO 822 Zande Motel Kuala Selangor — Hotel in Selangor

Me & my husband felt very let down by this place, we are backpackers & are trying to stay in cheap accommodation, so far we have been fine, we haven't always been in great places but they've been liveable, we literally couldn't stay here & had to leave. It is nothing like the pictures! Firstly we booked the deluxe queen with a window (as it was the same price as a standard room so seemed like a no brainer) when we arrived we were allocated a tiny double with no window (it was horrible), when i spoke to reception she said the room we booked was not available, 10 minutes later they came up & said they did have one ...... again it was awful. The room was tiny, the bed again was a double not a queen (but we could deal with this, like I said before we're used to cheap accommodation and have slept in some tiny beds) the lights in both bathroom & bedroom buzzed really loud when they were turned on, making them unusable, you just couldnt have the lights on the noise drove you mad, the air conditioning unit was broken & hardly made any difference to the temp of the room, they had what only could be described as cloth hanging over the window, cracks on the wall, paint peeling off the walls, no sound proofing. Like I said before we are used to slumming it, but we couldn't stay here, we felt like we were in a prison cell, it was so depressing. We checked out straight away. Sadly we asked for a refund as the room was not as described on our booking, but they refused to refund. It's up to you, but if you're thinking of booking here I'd advise you to reconsider. Its put me off staying at any oyo hotels in future which is a shame as we've stayed at a few now in Asia & up to now they have been fine! I feel really let down by...

Room and bathroom smell like sewage and really have hard time to sleep or shower due to the smell.

Placement of electrical point and TV quite inconvenience as the TV is too high and electrical point too far from the bed.

The receptionist took almost 1 hour to do check in for us due to our online booking which is already confirmed couldn't be found in their system. There were 3 more people that have the same issue with the online booking. I think it was not issue with online booking but the receptionist is not IT literate to use the system.

Parking also is quite challenging due to limited no of parking space on...
