Pricey seafood
Just another casual Sunday, we went to our usual spot for our favourite food . As usual we Ordered few other dishes but it all turn out to be quite disappointing.
First the sea food is not fresh . Lady boss first claimed that crabs are in XXL big size and per kg is rm 180 ( 2 crab per kg ) . Its expensive to have it at kuala selangor , however we decided to give it a try since we came with friends from town. However the size is rather normal , and the crab meat is too few as compare to shell, plus the sauce which we ordered salty egg turn out to be yellow butter milky ... not to mention the fish , they over steam it and all the essences were mix up and over cooked.
Next, the mantis prawn were salty & the vegetables too However there was a Chinese lady who dress in black uniform replied , refuse to re-do the dishes and pro claim it as normal.
The worst part, the boss who we knew for so many years claim that, he wasnt aware on the seafood freshness procured from supplier. He also mentioned that he can re-do the dish ( only after we have finish the meal and paid for it )
We brought up the feed back to the business, because they were really serving tasty food back then, although it takes an hour drive to have authentic local seafood da chao.
Probably our last time visiting this place, Good luck to...

We arrive around 5pm and there are already a few tables occupied. The entrance is next to the Sky Mirror tour platform. We can see people walking to the boat jetty for the evening tour.
The nlmenu is quite standard but the have own recommendations which you can ask the wait staff.
As 4 of us are not big eaters, we ordered the fresh oysters fried with egg omelette. Oysters are big, fresh and juicy. It came in cast iron pan. Another dish is deep fry baby squid but I prefer crispy version. This one is a bit chewy. Finally we have the steamed bamboo clams with ginger garlic. The clams are fresh and not many restaurants would cook steam bamboo clams in their menu in the city. Partly due to the clams like a bit muddy especially when not very fresh. Here it’s quite nice and for those not fancy clams taste, ask for the kam heong version which is spicy and bit to mask the taste.
Prices are reasonable for 3 dishes less than RM100.
The view is the riverfront and boats...
Read moreWe had our dinner here at 5 pm before we went for our flyflies and blue tears tours at 7.15 pm in December 2019. This place is recommended by our airbnb apartment host, so we thought we should give it a try as it is recommended by a local. We ordered cereal prawns, fried mini octopus, sambal sotong, gong-bao styled la-la clams, another plate of sotong done in Thai sweet & sour styled , kangkong, and a fried chicken and omelete (for some in our family who don't prefer seafood as much) There were 10 of us, and we were very happy with the huge generous portions for every dish, and the taste of every dish was just right and really whet all our appetite. The clams, prawns & cuttlefish were all very fresh. Being there early at 5pm, we were the first 3 tables of patrons on a Saturday evening. Tables started to fill up after 6 p.m. They served home made drinks too and the price we paid for each person, including drinks came to be labout RMB 20 per person for such a hearty dinner. In fact, we had to cancel one dish of claypot toufu when we saw that we had...
